PENALTIES AND SANCTIO NS APPLICABLE TO DEFENDANT


Violation ofany oftheforegoing conditionsofreleasem ay resultin the im mediateissuance ofawarrant
forthe defendant's arrest,a revocation ofrelease,and orderofdetention,asprovided in 18 U.S.C.j3148,
forfeitureofanybailposted,and aprosecution forcontemptasprovidedin 18U.S.C.j401,whichcould result
in apossibleterm ofim prisonm entorafine.

The commission of any offense while on pretrialrelease may result in an additional sentence upon
conviction forsuch offenseto a term ofimprisonmentofnotmorethan ten years,ifthe offenseisafelony;ora
term of imprisonm ent of not m ore than one year,if the offense is a misdemeanor.This sentence shallbe
consecutiveto any othersentenceand m ustbeim posed in addition to the sentencereceived forthe offense itself.

Itisacriminaloffenseunder18U.S.C.53146,ifafterhaving been released,thedefendantknowingly


failsto appearasrequired by the conditionsofrelease,orto surrenderforthe serviceofsentence pursuantto a
courtorder.lfthe defendantwasreleased in connection with a chargeof,orwhile awaiting sentence,surrender
