CREATE A
CONTINUOUS EVALUATION (DO NOT ADD SUB-HEADINGS)
Summarise your initial response and thoughts to the theme. Then,
explain what aspect you decided to explore and why?

Connections with other artists/designers’


Explain how the images and working methods of artists have been used to
influence and develop your own work. E.g. use of materials,
construction techniques, use of pattern, texture. Composition, main
focus, style of text etc. You need to mention particular images by
artists and explain using art vocabulary. Use information about the
actual paintings, photographs, installations etc and the style the
artist has adopted, this will help you to understand the work of others
with perception, understanding and insight. Make the connections clear
and insightful.

Development
Explain how and where you have changed IDEAS as you progressed and how
you decided on using particular images, colours, styles of working etc.
E.g. following your research or experiments with media, you decided to
modify (improve) your final piece because…..or when working with the
actual media you felt……. (Explain why?)

Final Piece
Comment on how you manipulated the media and handled the techniques
used. Explain how you have explore the theme within your work in
content and choice of media. How is the work a personal response?
Explain, if any, what improvements you could make to your work. E.g.
improve the finish, overall quality. Combine further, more
sophisticated techniques, alter scale etc.)

Mood
Explain the meaning/concept of your work. Were you trying to create a
particular mood or feeling? If so, explain. How is your work
meaningful? If you have created an installation create a statement to
explain how the work is to be viewed by the audience. To sum up explain
how your outcome related to the theme have you realised your intentions
fully?
