Senator Arthur Sinodinos AO
Ambassador - designate to the USA
Senator Sinodinos is Australia’s one of the most
respected politicians and a former public servant who has
made a great contribution to making Australia a great
country and positioning her for success in the globalised
world.
He is being sent to the frontline of global politics by the
Prime Minister of Australia, The Hon. Scott Morrison, at
a time when the relationship with the superpowers has
never been more critical to Australia’s future.
Senator Sinodinos is highly respected around the world
through the active role he played as the Senior Advisor &
Chief of Staff of the Hon John Howard, Prime Minster of
Australia, from 1996 to 2006.
His Ministerial portfolio included positions of Assistant
Treasurer, Secretary of the Cabinet and Minister for
Industry, Innovation and Science.
Before being appointed to the Senate in 2011, Senator
Sinodinos spent periods working for Goldman Sachs and
the National Australia Bank.
He also served as the President of the Liberal Party State
Branch (NSW).

Zia Qureshi is an Australian / global business leader with
deep expertise in business transformation & turnaround
for large companies to deliver high sustainable
performance and value maximization. Examples of his
work include companies such as Woolworths, Qantas,
Crane Group, Origin Energy, MIM Holding, BHP,
TransGrid, Commonwealth Bank, Transfield Services,
State Grid Corporation of China, and China Power
Investment Corporation.
He led, as Chairman, the Australia-China Electricity
industry to industry collaboration venture, supported by
the Hon John Howard, PM with great success that made
a strong contribution to bringing the two countries closer
in business relations. He also led a landmark project to
develop China’s sourcing strategies to secure the global
supply of mineral resources, a project of national
importance for China, that generated $100’s of billions of
value for China. He has been commended for this work
by the Chinese and Australian political leaders.
His hands-on work spans business transformation
projects for Australian / international leading companies
to managing an $8 billion investment portfolio (with
further $20 billion allocation) of diversified industries in
the MENA region. He regularly advises CEOs, Chairs,
Ministers & Prime Ministers.
