Any perfumes or colognes with chlorine (bleach) note?
Accords and Notes

I know that sounds a little crazy but I really enjoy the smell of chlorine with common “spa” smells such as
eucalyptus, mint, or lavender. I checked in fragrantica’s note search and (unsurprisingly) nothing comes up
for chlorine or bleach

If you’re looking for that chlorine note you might be interested in Xyrena’s Pool Boy. From its
note description:

‘Pool Boy opens with classic suntan lotion notes of orange blossom, grapefruit, and coconut;
transitions to a warm & relaxing mix of lavender and pineapple; then radiates notes of
chlorinated pool water, cedar lounge chair, and sun-kissed skin for hours.’

I can’t speak to this one, as I haven’t tried the sample I have. But their Dark Ride, which I do have
does a very good job of pulling off a Pirates of the Caribbean vibe, also has a chlorine note along

with mildew and other oddities. Dark Ride is one of my odder purchases.

It’s surprisingly wearable for something that smells like a Disney amusement park ride.
They even came up with sort of a flanker that’s supposed to smell like Universal Studios’
ET adventure ride, but since I don’t have strong memories of going there as a kid, I don’t
have that one. I have a few other Xyrena’s: including one that smells like new sneakers
and another that smells like a gay bar/adult bookstore. Xyrena is a strange perfume
house.

I’m super intrigued by what a gay bar/adult bookstore smells like. Semen, coconut, and
Paco Rabanne 1 million?

LOL It’s actually not bad, a little spicy, leathery, some musk, but it has some odd
latex and other ‘chemicals’ that whiff in there. But there is a sort of a condom note
in the dry down. It probably needs to be layered with Secretions Magnifiques for
those missing accords.

For me Sydney Rock Pool is giving me that vibe. Smells like you just put on suntan lotion, went
for a swim in the pool and you just got out. That’s how it smells to me.

l'homme ideal cologne is a dead ringer for walking into the tiled bathroom at a public pool.
chlorine and bathroom cleaner, with some kind of warm summer magic.

To me Bvlgari Aqva Amara smells just crushed oranges and incense floating in a swimming pool.

I don’t know about chlorine but obsidian by reveur has a detergent clean smell. You can get a
free sample online.

I suppose that's true, but obsidian is black or (dark green), which makes me
think a fragrance of that name would have some darkness to it, with a dirty or
mossy accord, if not heavier and darker than that. Oh well, they didn't ask me

Call me crazy but I get a prominent chlorine accord with Elysium parfum cologne. And I don't
mean that in a bad way. Its sortof has a luxurious hotel swimming pool kinda vibe which is
actually pleasant.

LOL @ trying to kill the Rona. Long story but the water department overchlorinated our water
for a couple of days and I got some really good smells off of that mixed with some other
things like mint and eucalyptus
