Attukad Waterfalls

It is an iconic mountain spring tucked away in the dense and verdant forests and
hills. You will be moved by the resounding peacefulness amidst pristine nature.
If you just wish to watch the cascading waterfalls you can sit by its side and
enjoy a picnic. You can even go for an adrenaline-pumping experience like rock
climbing or trek inside the deep woods. Enjoy wildlife sightings, rappelling, and

families.

Rose Garden

Standing at 3500 feet and sprawling over 2 acres of land, Rose Garden is a
beautiful stretch of a wide variety of plants. It is a well-kept garden with
myriad vibrant flowers exuding a heavenly feel.

Besides appealing and perfumed roses, you can also see spice crops like
cardamom and vanilla and fruit trees, such as litchi, strawberry, rambutan, and
amla. Fresh vegetables like beans, cauliflowers, cabbage, potato, and bananas
grow here all year round. You can also get natural honey with farm-grown tea
and coffee. It also provides you with an eco-friendly homestay. Hiking and
trekking through rustic routes are popular in the region.

Pothamedu Viewpoint

Pothamedu Viewpoint offers a breath-taking sight to behold. The long stretches


of green hills and mountains make it a scenic tourist spot. You can witness some
of the best sunrises and sunsets. You can gape at the wide expanse of tea,
coffee, pepper, and cardamom plantations in the area.

It is a much-loved venue for adventure seekers, nature lovers, and those who
are seeking peace. You can also spot Idukki Arch Dam from this point. Take a
leisurely mountain walk or hike up to the vantage point. You can take ample
photographs of this beautiful place. This place is wrapped with extra greenery,
and you can witness the sunset gliding through the picturesque Sahyadri Ranges.

Mattupetty Dam

Constructed in the late 1940s, Mattupetty Dam is a concrete water storage


facility meant for power generation and water conservation. It is 1700 m high
and is located near Anamudi Peak. The Mattupetty Lake formed by the gravity
dam is a perennial lake. It is flocked by tourists for its pleasant ambiance,
birds, and wild animals like elephants. The reflection of the tea gardens on the
waters is an amazing sight. You can participate in speed boating and horse
riding.

Photo Point

The entire route to Photo Point is a scenic ride. It is a scenic spot lined by
green tea plantations on either side. It sits atop the rolling slopes and plains of
Nilgiris. The background of tea and aromatic spice estates makes it perfect for
clicking photographs. You can dress up in traditional attire and take photos. It is
also a popular filming venue. When you visit Munnar do not miss dropping by this
fascinating point.

Kundala Dam and Lake

Constructed on River Periyar in 1946, it offers astounding vistas of the verdant


Western Ghats mountain range and Cherry Blossom, eucalyptus, and pine trees.
Standing at a height of 1700 meters, its majestic landscape is the ideal setting
for photographers and nature lovers.

If you are lucky, you can spot the rare bloom of Neelakurunji flowers on the
hills. These flowers bloom once in 12 years. Hailed as Asia’s 1st arch dam, it is
also popular for Kashmir-like Shikara boat and pedal boat rides. You can explore
the lake and enjoy the scenic views.

Munnar Top Station

Visit the beautiful Munnar Top Station and witness the fluffy clouds. As the name
suggests, it is located at a staggering height of 5500 feet and provides
panoramic views of the Western Ghats.  Here, find the lush green hills
enveloped by the cotton clouds.  Every twelve years, the Neelakurinji Flower
blooms at Munnar Top Station. Also, this place is ideal for shutterbugs,
trekkers, and camping enthusiasts. Further, this is the last hill station in
Munnar as the road ends here.
Echo Point

Echo Point is the confluence of the three famous South Indian Mountain Ranges
covering Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni, and the Kundala. Situated at 600 feet
(approx.), Echo Point is known for its unique echo phenomenon.

reverberate. This enchanting place is one of the famous trekking places in
Munnar for one day trip.

Blossom Park

To witness mountain butterflies, migratory waterbirds, lush green landscapes,


and an array of flowers. Blossom Parks has artificial waterfalls you can explore
River Muthirapuzha passes through Blossom Park, and therefore, boating is a
must to enjoy the activity. 

Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary

Wildlife lovers should not miss visiting the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary to spot
exotic and elusive flora and fauna species. Here you can spot Panthers, Spotted
deer, Indian Elephants, Gaur, and Tigers. Marvel at the exciting scene in the
wilderness inside the sanctuary as the Pambar river flows around it.

Cheeyappara Waterfalls

 This waterfall soothes your senses on the highway from Kochi to Munnar. It


comes downstream, flowing through seven terraced rocks, and looks beautiful.

One of the main relaxing centre of Munnar is Hydel park. Just 3 Kms From
Munnar town centre comes Blossom Hydel Park. famous for its nature trails,
