Before

Maya Bay is part of Thailand's Krabi Province, the Andaman Sea, and the Malacca Strait's Phi
Phi National Park. Ito ay napakagandang bay na napapalibutan ng 100-meter-high cliffs on three
sides.
pag low tide. Maya Bay's main beach is about 200 meters long and has silky-soft white sand. Its
crystal-clear waters are filled with a large number of exotic fish and incredible coral; in fact, the
entire bay is one massive, beautiful coral reef.

Maya Bay was made famous by the 1999 film The Beach, which was filmed there and starred
Leonardo Di Caprio. Furthermore,
ecologists agree that Maya Bay receives up to 4,000 tourists and 200 boats per day, which is
more than the bay can handle.
party boats. Due to the crowds, isa pa sa dahilan ng tourist is yung nahihirapan sila makahanap
makapag take ng pictures. Despite the beauty of Maya Bay, many tourists found their visit to
Thailand's most famous beach to be a bit of a letdown, and the weather was worsening.

During

The Maya Bay tourism management discovered that the beach forest in Maya Bay has been
devalued, tree roots have been exposed by excessive walking or beach overcrowding, and the
coral reefs have been damaged, which proved to be the most concerning.
Bay was supposed to last four months, but authorities extended it for another two years to give
the environment in Maya Bay more time to recover.

Following the shutdown of the Maya Bay entrance in 2018, it was carefully cleaned of trash and
replaced with trees, with approximately 10,000 corals planted.
After two years,
the freeze appears to have benefited Maya Bay's natural ecology. Maya Bay now has 5,615 new
coral colonies, and the project will grow by a thousand more. Wildlife, including sharks, have
been brought back to Maya Bay. The blacktip reef shark population in Maya Bay increased for
months after the site was closed to tourists. Their increasing number clearly indicates that the
closure of Maya Bay is bearing fruit.
Bluewater Panglao
Bluewater Panglao, a 4-star hotel and one of the best-selling properties on Panglao Island, Bohol,
provides a luxurious escape that respects the island's natural beauty. The resort's Filipino
architecture and design complement Bohol's culture, inherent warm hospitality, and eco-focused
projects, and it is nestled on an island with white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and marine
sanctuaries. The design concept complements the environment by being organic yet elegant,
innovative, and functional.
