Plan
Awareness
1. The teacher will show the following picture:

2. The teacher will let the students identify the different factors affecting the bottle (based on
their previous knowledge on gases)
- Temperature (T)
- Pressure (P)
- Volume (V)
- Amount of gas (n)

Activity
ACTIVITY found on book : (Squashing the bottle)
Analysis
The teacher will ask the following questions:
For Activity A
a. What happened when you covered the bottle?
b. What caused it to happen?
For Activity B
a. What happened to the bottle?
b. Explain the phenomena.

Abstraction
a. The four gas variables are: pressure (P), volume (V), number of mole of gas (n),
and temperature (T).
b. Pressure is directly proportional to number of molecule and temperature. (Since P is on
the opposite side of the equation to n and T)
c. Pressure, however, is indirectly proportional to volume. (Since P is on the same side of
the equation with V)

Application 1. The teacher will let the students describe the relationship among volume, temperature,
pressure and number of moles through the following pictures:

Assessment Create a concept map that describes the relationship among volume, temperature, pressure and
number of moles.
