Allen

Task A:

Estimated online time: 5 hours and 30 minutes

Task B:

1. Did your time spent online differ from your estimate?

- Yes, it was two times longer than my estimates.

2. Were you surprised by the difference?

- I was surprised, because I thought I didn’t spend that much time online.

3. Do you think the chart offers a true account of your online behavior?

- I don’t think so, as it only covers one day of my online presence and that it doesn’t take into
account on days where I’m not busy with school-works.

4. Do you think you should change your online behavior? Give reasons to explain your decision.

- I see no reason to change it, because it does not interfere with my education.

Task C:

I noticed that my data has more academic related online activities than my groupmates. I also
share the similarity of spending a lot of time on video games.

Task D:

Digital Technology plays a huge part in our world today. Without digital technology, many
services that are considered to be important today would be nigh impossible to access. I think
that if digital technology suddenly disappeared, I would probably not last even a month, because
as I said it already plays a huge part in our lives and removing it now would be disastrous.

4. Do you think you should change your online behavior? Give reasons to explain your decision.

- Yes, I’m aware that I consume too much media.

Task C:

Task D:

I see myself as the most likely person to use a pc and play online games and edit videos. My
other groupmates only use their smartphone the whole day where they play online games,
browse Facebook and chat with peers. But on the other hand, we match each other for playing
online games and browsing Facebook.

I see and conclude that most of the people spend most of their time doing different online
activities. The reason maybe is that; almost all of the interest of people can be accessed on the
internet from watching movies and series, streaming videos and music, reading articles, playing
online games, interact with people from other places and etc.

Task A:

Estimated online time: 7 hours and 30 minutes

Task B:

1. Did your time spent online differ from your estimate?

- Yes.

2. Were you surprised by the difference?

- No.

3. Do you think the chart offers a true account of your online behavior?

- It does.

4. Do you think you should change your online behavior? Give reasons to explain your decision.

- I should, I know I’m too reliant on the world the online connectivity offers along with the
entertainment that it gives. I should also give priority to some other things that I haven’t explored
yet.
Task C:

The data is kind of sloppy, but I can tell that there are some of us that really are different among
the rest with how they spend their time. It may be due to connections they built with others,
hobbies that others have and only exclusive only for “them”. Along with the boldness to even
reveal some what others could not openly do.

Task D:

Technically, as long as we live. But if the talk is about how long one can control themselves
without it, like me would be very hard since I have little to no connection to any physical sports
or something that requires the body to move enough without the need of using any gadgets like a
computer or a phone.

Task A:

Estimated online time: 17 hours

Task B:

1. Did your time spent online differ from your estimate?

- Yes, the estimation is off by 2 hours.

2. Were you surprised by the difference?

- No, I am aware of the time I spend online.

3. Do you think the chart offers a true account of your online behavior?

- Yes, I believe it does.

4. Do you think you should change your online behavior? Give reasons to explain your

decision.

- Yes, I should. Online browsing is a double edge sword, it can help with studies

and getting important information. However, the amount of content found online that can

change a person’s point of view, opinions, or values is plentiful.

Task C:

I can conclude that the majority of online activity that people my age do, are

online games. I never really played online games that much compared to my other

social media activities like YouTube, which holds the longest amount of hours. Although,
my online game activity is significant enough to be near what the other’s online game

activity.

Task D:

I could last a long time without digital technology if I have something that will

occupy me. Boredom is something all Millenials and Gen Zs can experience once digital

technology is not in their grasps. But I believe I can last around a week if I have enough

books like novels to occupy or a project to work on.

Task A:

Estimated online time: 15 hours

Task B:

1. Did your time spent online differ from your estimate?

- No.

2. Were you surprised by the difference?

- No, because I already expected it.

3. Do you think the chart offers a true account of your online behavior?

- Yes.

4. Do you think you should change your online behavior? Give reasons to explain your decision.

- No, because it’s not always that I regularly do this.

Task C:

I see that most people my age are often addicted to gaming which causes them to lack
engagement in other types of physical activities. This situation is alarming because it seems that
people my age are getting reliant on online games as their main personal go-to for entertainment
and engagement. This behavior may hinder them from practicing personal communication with
others or impair their socializing skills outside the digital world.

Task D:

In terms of duration, I have deliberately opted to unplug from a digital technology for extended
periods, such as through digital detox retreats or wilderness adventures. I have shown the ability
to go weeks or even months without using digital technology. However, it is crucial to highlight
that I often plan ahead of time and have access to alternate resources to sustain
myself throughout that period. Digital technology, conversely, has thoroughly permeated many
vital parts of society in today's globally interconnected globe, including business, healthcare, and
governance. As a result, long-term existence without digital technology is possible but will grow
increasingly difficult over time, and I see myself surviving for a longer period.
