Macaroni Cheese

(This recipe is made in pairs)


Equipment
Medium sized Saucepan
Small saucepan
Measuring spoons
Whisk
Colander
Measuring cups
Spatula (scraper)
Spoon
Oven proof dish

Ingredients
1 cup macaroni pasta
10g butter
2 tsp flour
¾ C Milk
½ C grated cheese
You may also add, cooked bacon, ham, peas, mixed veges if you
wish.
Method
1. Turn oven to 180C fan bake
2. Boil 2 cups of salted water in medium sized saucepan
3. Add pasta and cook until al dente (8 mins)
4. Drain pasta return to saucepan and add small amount of
oil to prevent pasta sticking. Set aside
5. In another saucepan add butter and flour. Cook to make
roux.
6. Add milk slowly whisking continuously so no lumps form.
Whisk until sauce thickens.
7. Add cheese and stir in
8. Add pasta and any extras ((ham, cooked bacon, veges) and
stir through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
9. Place in ovenproof dish and spread breadcrumbs over the
top
10. Cook for 15 mins until golden brown and bubbling.
11. Best served straight away.
