Critical Essay Of The Letter Of Tawi-Tawi

The thing about life is how we experience and question about it. How can we understand a thing
if we simply put in mind what they said rather than questioning and experiencing what they have said?
Likely, the poem of Atom Araoullo, Letter of TAWI-TAWI.

In the poem Letter of TAWI-TAWI it talks about the things one has and one doesn’t. The
unfairness of life that one can and cannot have. The promises and things a person would do or not do.
An event one experiences but different from others. Questions that needed to be answer but one
cannot. A choice that where they have to decide for their own sake and future. Concerns that they want
others to hear but has been deaf because of power. And stop just because you lack the understanding in
the world. All the said things, are true to our life as we live in this world. Where we need to find jobs but
we can’t due to the lack of jobs and competitions of other competitors who also strive to be great in life.
But even if we find one, we lack the required papers education and support for us to get that job. Isn’t
that just great on how the unfairness of the world we really live in? Even the simplest promise we made
from our parents that we would be able help them rise from this poverty but we ended up as a weight
that even they have to carry. Not just because we are afraid to do things and lack of experience but
rather than us being not able to experience what it would feel like to be able to study like others do and
have an opportunity to showcase our own talent just because we do not have the said support and
attainment in life. Even if we ask series of questions on why would we can’t, they would just answer as
with smiles that even we can’t understand what it mean. Even if we reason and give them a valuable
thought they would just neglect it and throw it in the river like they never hear and seen what the others
are going through in life. And because of this we ended up to a situation where we feel like stopping and
do nothing. This causes other to be depressed and even end their life. Really the world we live in is just
as hard as it is. That we end up to choose to be upright or play the world what it wants you to be. Some
lack the experience, others has the experience but lack the ability and support. Although, there are
some instances that everyone has been equally given the opportunity. But most of the time, we were
given unfairness.

So in conclusion, the world that we live in is the way how we act and do in order to survive. We
tend to act on the unfairness but ended up not gaining anything from it. So for us to have the world that
we want we have to live not the way the world wants us to be. But play your own and let the world be
your playground.
