Basin for filling of Jawai Dam, Rajasthan”-reg.

MIS/102016/1090/MICELL dated 18.10.2021 (copy enclosed)
         
Kind reference is invited to the letters cited under reference vide which
        
data related to Dharoi dam i.e, reservoir data and water utilization has been
shared with CWC.
 
      In this regard, following observation has been made in respect of
data/information shared-
 
1. Canal Releases(Irrigation) in some years including  2018 & 2019 are
shown as zero whereas the Net inflow in the reservoir for these years are
on much higher side when compared to the sum of water supply,
Evaporation losses &  other losses. In this connection, it may be clarified
from where the water has been provided for serving the Dharoi Command
area in these years when there was no canal releases (irrigation) including
the data of the area irrigated in these years in Dharoi command.
2. With respect to list of Annexure –I of letter dated 04.01.2022 the details
of eleven (11) projects on upstream of Dharoi dam total water utilization
of 0.92 TMC has been submitted.  In this regard, annual utilization, since
commissioning,  in respect of the above mentioned 11 projects, may be
furnished.
    
On receipt of the requisite details it is proposed to hold a meeting under
         
the Chairmanship of Member, (WP&P), CWC, New Delhi.

chairmanship of Member (WP&P), CWC in which Member (WP&P), CWC
pointed out that the data requested in earlier meeting is yet to be provided by the
Govt. of Gujarat (MoM enclosed), and requested CE WRD, Gujarat to provide
the requisite data at the earliest in accordance with the decisions taken in
meeting held under chairmanship of Chairman, CWC on 26.06.2020 .

Further, kind reference is invited to the meeting held on 26.06.2020 and

chaired by Chairman, CWC (MoM enclosed). Amongst other things, it was also
decided in the meeting that Govt. of Gujarat shall share the following
information within a month:

i. Data of inflow, outflow, reservoir levels, utilizations and evaporation /

other losses since commissioning of the dam.
ii. Data of alt the utilizations upstream of Dharoi dam in Sabarmati basin in
--./ Gujarat on l0-daily/ monthly basis.
iii.Original planning vis-d-vis present water utilization for various purposes
__a (i.e., Irrigation, Drinking, Industrial etc.), CCA, annually Irrigated Area
for Dharoi Dam.
In this regard, information requested at point (i) above has been provided
by your letter dated 18.10.2021. However, the requisite informations mentioned
at point (ii) & (iii) above are still awaited.

In view of all above, it is requested to provide the requisite data as per the

decisions of meeting held on 26.06"2020 and further requetited

in the meeting
held on ll.lo.2o21, at the earliest, so that further analysis may be completed
before any necessary decision on the matter'
