Notes
This pattern uses US terminology.
Anything in between * * means you repeat that specific sequence until specified.
The design varies very slightly depending on the size.
If you are in between sizes opt for the smaller size.
Special Stitches
Work in the round. The hexagons do not lay flat. Create the back panel before making
the second hexagon. Be careful not to miss the first ch-2 on each row, it can be hard to
get into, you could add a stitch marker to help find it.
Make to measure: Hold the hexagon to your shoulder (once folded), put your arm
through - the end of the hexagon needs to reach below your elbow. Repeat hexagon
rows until you are happy with size, finish on Row 4 or 8.

Create the seam along the top side of the hexagon (highlighted in red in the
next photo). Work the seam from the end of the sleeve towards the neckline,
Seam
so the back panel can be worked from that point without cutting yarn.
Line up the edges and ch 1, sc in same ch-sp through loops on both sides.
Continue to sc both sides together across until last ch-sp, 1 sc into the ch-sp.
Do not tie off.
Back Panel
This part will add width to the back of the hexagons. Turn RS facing and working in only
one layer (no longer seaming) crochet across the side where yarn is already attached,
turn at the end of each row.
The second back panel will be worked down the other side, starting with WS
facing. All 3rd blo dcs will be 3rd flo dcs for the second back panel.
Make to measure: You want the panel to reach the middle of your back, finish on row 4
or 6.
Ch 2 (counts as first dc), 1 dc in ch-sp, dc 3rd blo in each st until last st, 2 dc

lined up.
With RS facing attach yarn in the bottom right side in corner sp.
Make to measure: You want the bottom half to reach below your bum, finish on a hdc
row.

Row 30
X (X, X, X, X) (X, X, 96, 106) ch-sps
If you are adding buttons simply skip a dc and ch 1 on the last row of dc, where you
would like your buttons to go (LEFT SIDE ONLY).
If your st count isn’t exactly matching mine, but is close, make sure it’s an odd number.
Make to measure: You want the extensions to meet just over the center of your chest.
Repeat rows 2-5 until you are happy with it. If you want to add buttonholes you need to
end on row 5.
Ch 3 (counts as first dc and ch 1), *sk st, dc 3rd flo in next st, ch 1*
Repeat from * to * to end. Turn
Row 2
43 (48, 52, 54, 58) (59, 63, 65, 69) ch sps

rows 6-9 for a larger hood.

Repeat from * to * to the end, sl st to join
Row 2
26 (30, 34, 34, 38) (38, 42, 42, 46) ch-sps
When working the sl sts make sure you don’t sl st into the same st you came out of
when working sc. Go straight into the next st and the following one. Otherwise the cuff
will be too loose.
