Abstract:
This paper provides a comprehensive review of scientific research on sexual orientation identity
formation in adolescence, specifically addressing the claim that individuals may identify as gay solely for
the purpose of showing off. The aim is to elucidate the complexities of sexual orientation development
and debunk misconceptions surrounding this topic. Drawing from various disciplines, including
