Conveyor belts used in large conveyors are always moving – generally round the clock. They transport a large
variety of materials, usually across rough terrain, and are thus a replacement for other costlier transport solutions.
If the conveyor belts are not looked after, this leads to wear on the belts and drums as well as the loss of bulk
material.
The results are interruptions to the production process and possibly long downtimes. Production dropouts and
commercial losses are preprogrammed. Proper care of the conveyor belts ensures a long service life and the
economic efficiency of your plant.

Cleaning of the conveyor belt is only economically efficient, however, when the following factors are taken into
account:

∙ Selection of a suitable belt cleaning system

∙ Combination of the right belt cleaning systems (pre-cleaning and fine cleaning)
∙ Optimum positioning of the system in the conveyor
∙ Fitting by trained technicians
∙ Having regular maintenance work determined and carried out by trained professionals

If just one of these points is not taken into account, even the best system will fail after a short time!

REMA TIP TOP has in recent years developed REMACLEAN, an extremely tough belt cleaning system with a
long service life. The cleaning procedure is gentle on the belt. The systems are easy to fit and maintain, even when
installed at greater heights. In this way, protracted downtimes of conveyor belts due to contaminants are
avoided. The systems are also designed to permanently accommodate high conveying speeds and huge conveying
capacities.

For the segments of the extremely robust belt cleaning systems, we use special patented polyurethane parts as
well as rubber and hard metal. The REMACLEAN conveyor belt cleaning systems also make their Mark through
two additional properties:

∙ An integrated shock absorber absorbs overloads or impacts Differences in the thickness of the conveyor belt are
compensated for by adjusting the individual segments exactly to the surface of the belt
∙ A fitting hook simplifies the attachment of the heavy parts to the system support unit

REMACLEAN PUR-F300 / F400 / F500

Conveyor belt cleaning system for use in large conveyors with elastically-mounted polyurethane segments and lever
tensioning system for cleaning of the conveyor belt load-bearing side at the head pulley.

The individual segments of the system are solidly attached to the carrier frame but are mounted flexibly enough in
bearings to permit the segments to move elastically. This permits optimal adjustment with regard to the conveyor belt
surface and ensures gentle yet effective cleaning.

REMACLEAN HM-F1 HD
The elastically-mounted hard metal scraper strips adjust optimally to the conveyor belt surface and ensure effective
cleaning. The type of hard metal strip chosen, as well as their plastic anti-stick skirts, give reliability and a long service life.

REMACLEAN HM-F1 HD is universally usable with many types of conveyor belts and can be used up to a drum diameter
of D=2000 mm. The very robust construction of the system carrier tube, onto which the individual hard metal carriers are
elastically mounted, permits use also in conveying systems with belt speeds of up to 6.5 m/s and belt widths up to 2,600 mm.

REMACLEAN HM-U500
REMACLEAN HM-U500 can be universally used for many types of bulk material. The segments are individually moun-
ted on the system carrier tube. The robust construction of the system carrier tube and the spindle pressure units permits
the belt cleaning system to be used in applications with conveying speeds of up to 10 m/s and belt widths up to 3,000
mm. The hard metal scrapers, which can swivel, are mounted in polyurethane feet. They can therefore adjust their
position optimally to the conveyor belt surface and ensure effective cleaning.

REMACLEAN HM-U1 HD
REMACLEAN HM-U1 HD can be universally used for many types of bulk material. The 120 mm long segments are
individually mounted on the system carrier tube. The especially robust construction of the system carrier tube and the
spindle pressure units permits use with belt speeds of up to 6.5 m/s and belt widths up to 2,600 mm. The hard metal
scraper strips adjust to the conveyor belt and ensure effective cleaning.
The type of hard metal strip chosen, as well as their plastic anti-stick skirts, give reliability and a long service life.
A pretensioning indicator permits exact adjustment of the system pretensioning.

REMACLEAN HM-U2 HD
REMACLEAN HM-U2 HD can be universally used for many types of bulk material. A full-width hard metal strip is
mounted on the system carrier tube The especially robust construction of the system carrier tube and the spindle
pressure unit permits use of this variant with belt speeds of up to 9.0 m/s and belt widths up to 2,600 mm. The hard
metal strip adjusts to the conveyor belt and ensures effective cleaning. The type of hard metal strip chosen gives
reliability and a long service life. The pretensioning indicator permits exact adjustment of the system pretensioning.
A cast polyurethane running skirt with a very slippery surface guides bulk material residues away from the conveyor belt.

Inner belt cleaner in the form of a plow for use in the return side on the inside of the belt to protect the redirector
drum from material
∙ The belt cleaner is fitted with rubber lips made from REMACLEAN CAB
∙ The necessary belt cleaner contact pressure is generated by its own weight
∙ The symmetrical construction of the belt cleaner does not influence the run of the belt
∙ A bogey wheel mounted on the plow, or suspending it in chains, ensures that the steel structure does not touch
the conveyor belt even when the rubber lips become worn
∙ All steel parts are primed and painted red
