HEALTH CARE IN THE US: PROBLEMS, CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS

Abstract

The healthcare profession has long been a major topic across the world because it has a tremendous impact on

other professions. As a result, the issue of healthcare in the United States has constantly been focused on with

government intervention. This report describes healthcare problems in the United States based on a number of

published research articles, including the Johns Hopkins Medicine study (2016), which discusses current

challenges in the healthcare industry in the United States, which is the high rate of preventable death and the

high cost of medical treatment. Additionally, the causes of the concerns mentioned above are also provided in

the reports of ODPHP (2020) and AAMC (2020), with the major causes of these problems being a lack of

insurance and a human resource deficit in the healthcare sector. In addition, in the research of Quadagno and

Lanford (2018) on the Affordable Care Act, government action is discussed. In my opinion, the US

government has devised a viable solution to the health-care situation, which has significantly improved the

problem. On the other hand, the government's response is constrained by the difficulty of lowering health-care

expenses. The US government must work more to identify financial solutions.
