Germany,[e] officially the Federal Republic of Germany,[f] is a country in Central Europe.

It is the
second-most populous country in Europe after Russia, and the most populous member state of the
European Union. Germany is situated between the Baltic and North seas to the north, and the Alps
to the south. Its 16 constituent states are bordered by Denmark to the north, Poland and the
Czech Republic to the east, Austria and Switzerland to the south, and France, Luxembourg,
Belgium, and the Netherlands to the west. The nation's capital and most populous city is Berlin
and its main financial centre is Frankfurt; the largest urban area is the Ruhr.

Rouladen is a typical German dinner, often served with potato dumplings, red cabbage and gravy.
It can also be served with vegetables or mashed potatoes. The rolls are made of thin beef slices
that are rolled around bacon, pickles, onions, and mustard before they are roasted with red wine.
It’s a time-consuming dish to prepare, but it’s definitely a traditional food from Germany that you
should eat while visiting. The origin of Rouladen is unknown, but it has been a common German
dish for centuries.

Schweinebraten

It’s a true traditional German food that takes quite a lot of time to prepare. It’s made of meat,
which is cooked slowly in the oven for hours and results in soft and tender meat that will give you

potatoes or spätzle, Rotkohl (red cabbage), and sauce.

usually served as a side dish, and it can also come topped with cheese.

Yakitori
Yakitori is a dish of bite-sized cuts of chicken grilled on a skewer. It makes use of every part of the chicken —
including heart, liver, and even chicken comb — to avoid wastefulness, an important element of Japanese food
culture. Unlike other traditional Japanese foods, yakitori has only been eaten since around the mid-17th
century, as eating meat was largely taboo in Japan for several centuries.

Sushi
Sushi is, without doubt, one of the most famous foods to come from Japan. A dish that was born in ancient
times, sushi originated from the process of preserving fish in fermented rice. Today it’s made with vinegared
rice and fresh fish, presented in a number of ways and shapes.

Kaiseki
The ultimate in Japanese fine dining, kaiseki is a tasting course comprised of small, seasonally themed dishes
crafted with the utmost precision and attention to detail. Kaiseki was born from the traditional tea ceremony,
where small morsels of food were offered alongside the bitter green tea, and over time these offerings evolved
into a multi-course haute cuisine meal
