Assessing Eyes

I. Introduction

The eyes are among the body's most delicate organs and are regarded as
one of the five senses that are most crucial. Despite this, taking care of our
eyes is frequently neglected, which causes many people to lose their vision
and require glasses. An eye exam is crucial since having your vision
corrected can enhance your daily life. They will aid in the early detection of
disorders that could result in vision loss, such as age-related macular
degeneration, glaucoma and other abnormalities. Falls may be more likely in
people with poor vision.

II. Challenges/Solutions

Assessment on eyes is also hard because of the procedures it was hard to

memorized it all but if you familiarize the procedures and skills, you can
perform it well and successfully like what I did I get challenged by memorizing
some abnormalities, but I figured it out how to overcome that by doing good
on the skills. In doing assessment I learned that in ever assessment we do
should not just memorize and memorize but instead we familiarize and
practice the skills in ever procedure.

III. Conclusion

In conclusion, the result of the assessment on my partner was all normal

there is no abnormal in the eyes, she can perfectly distinguish and perform
normally all the assessment which is a big relief on her. In assessing eyes it
needs a full attention on the client to observe properly the eyes that been
assessing because any small movement or gesture should be recorded to
identify what is the problem of the patient or client.

IV. Nursing Theory (How can you apply?)

Nursing Process Theory, is used in performing the assessment of eyes

because some of the patient have their own interpretation of the situation so
the nurses must be the responsible on analyzing the patients thoughts before
drawing into the conclusion, for example nurses understand the patients
thought for the to have a better communication and to gain the trust of the
patient to have a better care for them.
