Letter For Lab Use
Letter For Lab Use
School of Medicine

Ma’am:
Greetings!
We are second-year medical students from Saint Louis University. This semester, we will be
conducting research as part of our requirement in one of our subjects, Pharmacology and
Therapeutics.
Our group has come up with the study Antimicrobial Properties of Biosynthesized Silver
Nanoparticles Using Local Guava (Psidium Guajava) Leaf Extract Using Broth Dilution
Technique. This study aims to synthesize silver nanoparticles and study their antimicrobial
effects on common pathogenic bacteria.
With this, we would like to ask if we can use one of your laboratories to perform our simple
experiments. Our experiments would include using some laboratory apparatus and equipment
listed on the next page of this letter. We would also like to buy small amounts of the reagents
listed in the attached file.
Due to our regular classes during the weekdays, these are the available time slots that we are
planning to allot for our experiments: Thursday (9:00-12:00 pm and 2:00-4:00 pm) onwards), or
Saturday (8:00 am-12:00 pm) starting on the first week of February. If approved, we would like
to know which of the said time slots would be the most convenient for you.
We assure you that we will include you in this research paper and if you are interested, we can
disclose our results upon finishing the study.
Respectfully yours,
