The Winch Operators will continuously monitor the tension value for all anchor of the Barge in
order to detect any evidence of anchor dragging. As a normal practice, they will keep a permanent
watch of the load read out.

The RMM is responsible for movement from safe anchorage in and out the oil field. He is also
responsible for movement within the oil field where the platform facilities are within 5 nautical
miles from the barge and on site acceptance of the marine offshore unit safe work conditions.

The pipe lay ramp is located on the starboard side and run the entire length of the barge. The

9.0 SCOPE OF WORK


DESCRIPTION

As part of Project offshore work operations, anchor handling is needed to position the pipe-lay
barge on an eight point mooring configurations. Anchor deployment and recovery position are
being determined by using an onboard Barge Management BMS system. Approved Anchor
patterns are developed based on the results of the pre-installation survey performed by survey

If the anchor wire has parted and there are still sufficient wire on the drum, the wire will be re-
terminated and the anchor will be re-deployed. If there is insufficient wire on the drum it will be
removed and the wire attached to the anchor will be recovered. A new coil of wire will then be re
spooled on to the anchor winch and the anchor will be re-deployed.
