Welcome to Mrs. Massey’s Classroom

Hello, my name is Courtney Massey and I am delighted to get to spend the year partnering with you in
your child’s education. I am a graduate from University of Houston and have lived in the Houston area for
20+ years so I am happy to call myself a proud Houstonian. I am excited about teaching this year and
getting to meet each student.

This classroom will be a safe and warm environment for all students. With that being said, it is important
for each student to treat each other with respect, positivity, and dignity. If any student fails to do so I will
be requesting for us to meet regarding your child’s behavior in the classroom. Our classroom will be a
fun classroom, but we also need to ensure that we are meeting our educational expectations and that
we as a class grow together in success and knowledge.

In this classroom, all students are expected to turn classwork complete and in on time. All students will
have the opportunity to complete bonus work regardless of their grade. My goal is for all students to be
successful, so there will be plenty of opportunities to redo any classwork that needs extra attention for
half points, as well as, opportunities for bonus work. I will also have available some self-study packets for
in class if your student finishes work early and needs some more practice with the material.

conference hours are (ENTER HOURS HERE) and are available by appointment only. I am happy to be
available for students and parents as I want to make sure every student feels successful in the
coursework and confident to utilize it.

I am looking forward to this year and to the partnership we will have in building a foundation of
knowledge for your child.
