INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROJECT REPORT PREPARATION & PRESENTATION

1. Your project submission will be individual, even if you worked on it in a group at the company.
In the documentation, you should only include the parts you have worked on. You can include
the general aspects of the project if it is necessary to explain the flow of the project.

2. During your six months internship, it is likely that you work on more than one project. In this
case, in the documentation, you should specify in section 6 about the Project(s). If you have
worked on a small module in a project, you can specify it in section 8. Extra Work.

3. Two copies of the project should be prepared, out of which one copy will be kept with the
Department library and the other will be returned to the student.

4. Project reports must be submitted in Bound form. Stapled papers, and loose papers kept in a
file will not be accepted. All the copies should be alike (even binding). The standard we follow
is Black cover binding, with golden font embossed on the title page. Please refer to the old
project reports kept in the department library for the same.

5. The project report must be divided into proper sections. An index with section names and
page numbers must be placed at the beginning of the report. The project report must be
prepared in accordance with Software Engineering documentation guidelines. You can review
any previous year’s project report at our dept. library.

6. Project report must contain Department Certificate and a completion certificate from the
Company.

7. If the organization refuses to give the source code, then the appropriate certificate (on
company letterhead; duly signed) must be attached to the project report. In such cases, at
least sample program source code must be included in the project report for assessment
purposes.

8. All copies of the report are to be submitted as per the schedule. NO LATE SUBMISSION WILL
BE ALLOWED, AND, IN SUCH CASE, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO APPEAR FOR THE PROJECT
VIVA EXAMINATION.

9. You will be required to make a presentation of your project with the help of a multimedia
projector. Time duration of approx. Thirty minutes will be allotted for the project
presentation.
