THE PROBLEM

Writing and composition are essential tools for literacy and education.

content to the most complex writing pieces. Students need to develop their cognitive and
analytical skills to improve their writing. This includes learning to understand and think
topic in a field of study. Composition helps writers recognize quality writing and develop
these in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences, it goes without saying that may
students still struggle to matter this skill and commit certain error.
Each student may face different challenges in learning writing. All the students
are special and unique in their own ways. These challenges will somehow pull back the

these common errors happen when the students try to write something that is beyond their
current level of learning process language, and in this case, the students are unable to
correct themselves because they are unaware of their inaccuracies. Through this kind of
research, the student can cope with and understand the subjects that they find hard.
Identifying the problem of the students does not give shame to every student that
undergoes but it gives them the courage to have and to maintain well in writing.
The researchers got very much interested in determining the common errors
researchers personally experience the effects of common errors and they are aware of
their impacts on other people. Taking into consideration the essence of understanding this
phenomenon, they are encouraged to conduct this study. They are heartened to determine
the effects of common errors committed by Grade 11 HUMSS students in Padre Garcia
Integrated National High School. After assessing these variables, this study might help to
Integrated National High School. Identifying the common errors in writing by the
students is a great contribution to knowing the weak points of every student that may
vary their writing abilities. Plus this study will measure, analyze, and interpret every data

researchers to be aware and knowledgeable of the processes that are involved in this
