    OPINION ESSAY

    Should Physical Education be an optional subject at school?

    There are many people who think that physical education should be an obligatory subject, but I do not agree.

    As we already know, as you progress through the grades, you need more study time. For example, students in their
    final year of high school, need lot of preparation for their exams, so during these free hours they can review the
    lesson or do their homework. I think it´s easier for them to maintain the study habit in class than at home.

    Moreover, there are a lot of students who already do some sport outside school, that’s why I don’t see Physical
    Education as an obligatory subject.

    Lastly, I don’t understand why I can’t even choose the sport I want to play; personally, I don’t like the sports we
    practice.

    To sum up, I want people to understand that high school students would get more out of those study hours at school
    and then be able to do sport they like.
