The LGBT Community is one of the topics that has been circling around the whole world.

If one mentions
it, people will join and have different reactions regarding the topic. Many people know what is the LGBT.
They know the different sexual orientations, the differences. However, there may be something that
they have yet to know. The History of the LGBT Community.

The people that are members in the LGBT Community this day has not been fully accepted. Even though
they have just been tolerated, the members are able to speak out concerning their lives. They were
given voices to speak up and unite together with the others to avenge their community. We can see that
people in this community has a voice, and are able to express themselves freely. But this does not mean
that they do not experience discrimination. In fact, the majority of the members are still experiencing
major discrimination, mostly from those who are already aged. And if the members of the community
during this period weren’t mostly accepted, how much more if the members were from the past which
has a different mindset from the people right now?

The people from the past were very close minded. They often times choose their own beliefs even if one
has given more strong points than them. And because they are close minded, the idea of same sex
relationships not only do they not accept but find it most compelling. This belief is supported by the
Bible where man is for woman and nothing further. Because of the stubbornness of the people, this
made the members of the community live in constant fear, in the shadows as they were not able to
express themselves freely. As one wrong word that can be spoken, people will find different accusations
to try and get the members to be behind bars.

Until, in the month of June, the constant Stonewall riots have been occurring for quite some time. This is
a series of riots for gay liberation that took place over several days beginning on June 28, 1969. Some
people consider The Stonewall Uprising was a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the
