NUPTIAL MASS

Introduction

Commentator: Dearest brothers and sisters in Christ: there is a moment in our lives
when life becomes more meaningful, because it is shared. Today, we
have come to celebrate the beginning of a new life together for RENZI
AND MAYNELL. In this joyful feast of love, we will be both witnesses as
well as brothers and sisters in Christ offering them to the care and
guidance of our Lord. As one Church, we pray that Christ may bestow
on them His grace on this memorable day when they start their new life
together as husband and wife.

PROCESSIONAL

Our presiders for this ceremony are Fr. Hector Pamintuan Jr. We now
begin our Wedding Mass, please all stand.

Introductory Rites

Greeting

Priest: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

All: Amen.

Priest: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the
communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

All: And with your spirit.

Priest: God is love and has, in some mysterious way, drawn you
together in love. But he leaves you free to make that love grow, or to let it
wither and die. The Lord will help you to forge a future for your love if you
do your share, when you stand to the commitment to love and honor one
another in good times and in bad, in poverty and plenty, in sickness and in
health, for better and for worse, in the covenant which you are about to seal.
Renew your love and covenant every time you partake of ‘God’s covenant
with us’ in the Holy Mass. [Your love for each other is a blessing and so we
give thanks, we give back the glory to God as we all proclaim…]
Priest: My brothers and sisters, to prepare ourselves to celebrate
the sacred mysteries, let us call to mind our sins. (Pause)

I confess …

All: … to Almighty God and to you, my brothers and sisters,

That I have greatly sinned in my thoughts and in my words,
In what I have done and in what I have failed to do,
Through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous
fault; Therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all the angels and
Saints, And you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord
our God.

Priest: May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins,
and bring us to everlasting life.

All: Amen.

Gloria

Collect Prayer

Priest: Let us pray.

O God, who in creating the human race
willed that man and wife should be one,
join, we pray, in a bond of inseparable love
these your servants who are to be united in the covenant of Marriage,
so that, as you make their love fruitful,
they may become, by your grace, witnesses to charity itself.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever.

All: Amen.

[Commentator: Please be seated for the Liturgy of the Word.]

LITURGY OF THE WORD

First Reading
By : Ms. Rijina Grace Pascual

Lector: A reading from the book of Genesis

The LORD God said: “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a suitable
partner for him.” So the LORD God formed out of the ground various wild animals and
various birds of the air, and he brought them to the man to see what he would call them;
whatever the man called each of them would be its name. The man gave names to all the
cattle, all the birds of the air, and all wild animals; but none proved to be the suitable
partner for the man.
So the LORD God cast a deep sleep on the man, and while he was asleep, he took
out one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. The LORD God then built up into a
woman the rib that he had taken from the man.
When he brought her to the man, the man said: “This one, at last, is bone of my
bones and flesh of my flesh; This one shall be called ‘woman,’ for out of ‘her man’ this one
has been taken.”
That is why a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife, and the two of
them become one body.

Lector: The Word of the Lord.

All: Thanks be to God.

Responsorial Psalm

Lector: Let our response be:

(R) This is the day the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad.

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good,

his mercy endures forever.
Let those who fear the LORD say,
his mercy endures forever. (R)

This is the day the LORD has made;

let us rejoice in it and be glad.
LORD, grant salvation!
LORD, grant good fortune! (R)

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD.

We bless you from the house of the LORD.
The LORD is God and has enlightened us.
Join in procession with leafy branches
up to the horns of the altar. (R)

You are my God, I give you thanks;

my God, I offer you praise.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good,
his mercy endures forever. (R)
Second Reading
By : Ms. Hannah Ricci Santos

Lector: A reading from the book of Revelation

I, John, heard what sounded like the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven,
saying:
“Alleluia! Salvation, glory, and might belong to our God.”
A voice coming from the throne said:
“Praise our God, all you his servants, and you who revere him, small and great.”
Then I heard something like the sound of a great multitude or the sound of rushing
water or mighty peals of thunder, as they said:
“Alleluia!
The Lord has established his reign, our God, the almighty.
Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory.
For the wedding day of the Lamb has come, his bride has made herself ready.
She was allowed to wear a bright, clean linen garment.”
(The linen represents the righteous deeds of the holy ones.)
Then the angel said to me,
“Write this: Blessed are those who have been called to the wedding feast of the
Lamb.”

Lector: The Word of the Lord.

All: Thanks be to God.

[Commentator: Please all stand to honor the Holy Gospel.]

Alleluia

Gospel
Priest: The Lord be with you.
All: And with your spirit.
Priest: A reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark 10: 6-9

All: Glory to you, O Lord.

Jesus said:
“From the beginning of creation,
God made them male and female.
For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother
and be joined to his wife,
and the two shall become one flesh.
So they are no longer two but one flesh.
Therefore what God has joined together,
no human being must separate.”

Priest: The Gospel of the Lord.

All: Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST

Preparation of the Altar and the Gifts

Priest: Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,

for through your goodness we have received
the bread we offer you:
fruit of the earth and work of human hands,
it will become for us the bread of life.
All: Blessed be God for ever.

Priest: Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,

for through your goodness we have received
the wine we offer you:
fruit of the vine and work of human hands,
it will become our spiritual drink.
All: Blessed be God for ever.

Priest: Pray, brethren (brothers and sisters),

that my sacrifice and yours
may be acceptable to God,
the almighty Father.
All: (people rise)
May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands
for the praise and glory of his name,
for our good
and the good of all his holy Church.

Prayer over the Offerings

Priest:
Receive, we pray, O Lord,
the offering made on the occasion
of this sealing of the sacred bond of Marriage,
and, just as your goodness is its origin,
may your providence guide its course.
Through Christ our Lord.

All: Amen.
Eucharistic Prayer II

Priest: The Lord be with you.

All: And with your spirit.
Priest: Lift up your hearts.
All: We lift them up to the Lord.
Priest: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
All: It is right and just.

Priest:
(Matrimony as a Sign of Divine Love)
It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation,
always and everywhere to give you thanks,
Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God.
For you willed that the human race,
created by the gift of your goodness,
should be raised to such high dignity
that in the union of husband and wife
you might bestow a true image of your love.
For those you created out of charity
you call to the law of charity without ceasing
and grant them a share in your eternal charity.

And so, the Sacrament of holy Matrimony,

as the abiding sign of your own love,
consecrates the love of man and woman,
through Christ our Lord.
Through him, with the Angels and all the Saints,
we sing the hymn of your praise,
as without end we acclaim:

All: Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts.

Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.

[Commentator: Please all kneel.]

Priest: You are indeed Holy, O Lord,

the fount of all holiness.
Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,
by sending down your Spirit upon them like the dewfall,
so that they may become for us
the Body and Blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

At the time he was betrayed

and entered willingly into his Passion,
he took bread and, giving thanks, broke it,
and gave it to his disciples, saying:
TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT,
FOR THIS IS MY BODY,
WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU.

In a similar way, when supper was ended,

he took the chalice
and, once more giving thanks,
he gave it to his disciples, saying:
TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK FROM IT,
FOR THIS IS THE CHALICE OF MY BLOOD,
THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND ETERNAL COVENANT,
WHICH WILL BE POURED OUT FOR YOU AND FOR MANY
FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS.
DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.

Priest: The mystery of faith.

All: When we eat this Bread and drink this Cup,

we proclaim your Death, O Lord,
until you come again.

Priest: Therefore, as we celebrate

the memorial of his Death and Resurrection,
we offer you, Lord,
the Bread of life and the Chalice of salvation,
giving thanks that you have held us worthy
to be in your presence and minister to you.
Humbly we pray
that, partaking of the Body and Blood of Christ,
we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.

Remember, Lord, your Church,

spread throughout the world,
and bring her to the fullness of charity,
together with Francis our Pope and Enrique our Bishop
and all the clergy.

Be mindful also, Lord, of RENZI AND MAYNELL

whom you have brought to their wedding day,
so that by your grace
they may abide in mutual love and in peace.

Remember also our brothers and sisters

who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection,
and all who have died in your mercy:
welcome them into the light of your face.

Have mercy on us all, we pray,

that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
with Blessed Joseph, her Spouse
with the blessed Apostles
and all the Saints who have pleased you throughout the ages,
we may merit to be coheirs to eternal life,
and may praise and glorify you
through your Son, Jesus Christ.

Priest: Through him, and with him, and in him,

O God, almighty Father,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
all glory and honor is yours,
for ever and ever.
All: Amen.

[Commentator: Please all stand.]

Communion Rite

Lord's Prayer

Priest: At the Savior’s command

and formed by divine teaching,
we dare to say:

All: Our Father…..

Nuptial Blessing

Priest: Dear brothers and sisters,

Let us humbly pray to the Lord
That on these his servants, now married in Christ,
He may mercifully pour out the blessing of his grace,
And make of one heart in love
(by the Sacrament of Christ’s Body and Blood)
those he has joined by a holy covenant.
(all pray in silence for a while)

O God, who by your mighty power

created all things out of nothing,
and, when you had set in place
the beginnings of the universe,
formed man and woman in your own image,
making the woman an inseparable helpmate to the man,
that they might no longer be two, but one flesh,
and taught that what you were pleased to make one
must never be divided;
O God, who consecrated the bond of Marriage
by so great a mystery
that in the wedding covenant you foreshadowed
the Sacrament of Christ and his Church;
O God, by whom woman is joined to man
and the companionship they had in the beginning
is endowed with the one blessing
not forfeited by original sin
nor washed away by the flood.

Look now with favor on these your servants,

joined together in Marriage,
who ask to be strengthened by your blessing.
Send down on them the grace of the Holy Spirit
and pour your love into their hearts,
that they may remain faithful in the Marriage covenant.

May the grace of love and peace

abide in your daughter MAYNELL
and let her always follow the example of those holy women
whose praises are sung in the Scriptures.
May her husband entrust his heart to her,
so that, acknowledging her as his equal
and his joint heir to the life of grace,
he may show her due honor
and cherish her always
with the love that Christ has for his Church.

And now, Lord, we implore you: may these your servants hold fast to
the faith and keep your commandments; made one in the flesh, may
they be blameless in all they do;
and with the strength that comes from the Gospel,
may they bear true witness to Christ before all;
(may they be blessed with children, and prove themselves virtuous
parents, who live to see their children’s children).

And grant that, reaching at last together in fullness of years for which
they hope,
they may come to the life of the blessed in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Through Christ our Lord.

All: Amen.

Sign of Peace

Priest: The peace of the Lord be with you always.

All: And with your spirit.
Priest: Let us offer each other the sign of peace.
Breaking of the Bread

All: Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
grant us peace.

[Commentator: Please all kneel.]

Communion

Priest: Behold the Lamb of God,

behold him who takes away the sins of the world.
Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.
All: Lord, I am not worthy
that you should enter under my roof,
but only say the word
and my soul shall be healed.

Priest: The Body of Christ.

Communicant: Amen.

[After everyone has received communion…

Commentator: Cord & Veil Sponsors, please come forward.]

[After the removal of the cord & veil, and at the signal of the Priest…
Commentator: Please all stand.]

Prayer after Communion

Priest: Let us pray.

By the power of this sacrifice, O Lord,
accompany with your loving favor
what in your providence you have instituted,
so as to make of one heart in love
those you have already joined in this holy union
(and replenished with the one Bread and the one Chalice).
Through Christ our Lord.

All: Amen.

Concluding Rite

Final Admonition

Priest: RENZI AND MAYNELL now that you have received the
holy sacrament of Matrimony, I admonish you to remain faithful to one
another.
MAYNELL, love your husband and be a good wife, persevere in faith,
love and holiness.

RENZI love your wife as Christ loves his Church, and live with her in
the holy fear of the Lord.

Solemn Blessing

Priest: The Lord be with you.

All: And with your spirit.

Priest: May God the all-powerful Father grant you his joy
and bless you in your children.
All: Amen.

Priest: May the Only Begotten Son of God

stand by you with compassion in good times and in bad.
All: Amen.

Priest: May the Holy Spirit of God

always pour forth his love into your hearts.
All: Amen.

Priest: And may almighty God bless all of you, who are gathered here,
the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
All: Amen.

Dismissal

Priest: Go in peace, glorifying the Lord by your life.
