B. Calculate the inside and outside diameter of a hollow shaft with outside diameter 1.6
the inside diameter, the shaft material permissible shear stress 333 N/mm2 .The shaft
transmitted power through a belt pulley with diameter of 1.6 m and the pulley
mounted on shaft which overhang the right hand bearing 0.6 m . The vertical tension
on the pulley is 3600 and 1880 N with 180o angle of wrap of the belt on the pulley.
