We adopted a dog in March 2000. One July afternoon something was

terribly wrong with my pet . He was standing but couldn't walk. He
didn't know that his back was broken. I picked him up and drove him
to the vet. He discovered that his back was broken. Of course we had
no choice. The dog had to to be operated. Trying to find a surgeon at
the weekend was not an easy task. We managed finally to find one
after more than 2 hours away the surgeon thought that you had about
80% chance of working again but unfortunately the operation didn't go
as it was expected and the dog became paralyzed

‫‪When I first visited the doctor a year ago because of severe stomach ache, I was‬‬
‫‪told that I had a virus. But the pain continued for the next 4 weeks and one night. I‬‬
‫‪was taken to hospital where they discovered the tumor in my stomach and I had to‬‬
‫‪be operated. It was only after the operation that I found out that I had cancer.‬‬
‫‪Luckily I am now fully recovered and apart from check-ups every 3 years, I don't‬‬
‫‪need any treatment any longer. Therefore I would like to advise anyone‬‬
‫‪experiencing a bad stomach ache not to take it easy and to consult the doctor‬‬
‫‪quickly because if cancer is detected then the earlier it is treated the better results a‬‬
‫‪patient may get‬‬

‫أي شخص يعاني من آالم في المعدة بأال يأخذ األمر‬
‫بسهولة وأن يستشير الطبيب بسرعة ألنه إذا تم‬
‫ً ‪ ،‬قد‬ ‫الكشف عن السرطان ‪ ،‬فكلما تم عالجه مبكرا‬
‫يحصل المريض على نتائج أفضل‬

‫‪I saw in a local  newspaper in advertisement for the Post of a‬‬
‫‪hairdresser at one of the well-known salons of the village where I‬‬
‫‪lived. Being short of money I apply for it although I had no‬‬
‫‪qualifications or experience in haircuts or dealing with customers. My‬‬
‫‪chances of getting the job were very slim. However a few days a‬‬
‫‪letter arrive telling me that I was accepted and that I would be offered‬‬
‫‪the training in the first two weeks‬‬

all over my back and feet. All these are only 200 Dinars a month. I
was really happy when it was over

Tom has shown millions of people that a disability isn't the end of the world. He
said people must learn that the blind man is neither a genius nor an idiot. He has a

I am a 25-year-old girl. I obtained my degree in financial studies with

wheelchair. This handicap is not a great problem in my life. I am self
confident and responsible. Besides I was successful in my studies and

Au pairing Can consist of a number of duties besides caring for children. It's worth

Writing
I'm glad to know that you want to go to England as an au pair  for 6 months. I
believe it's a good decision because you will benefit from it.  First it will be a good
opportunity for you to practise and improve your English because you will have to
deal with English people. So we will be learning all the time. Second you will
discover a new culture while living with an English family and while you go
sightseeing to the different places of interest. You will see that their Traditions are
different from ours. Besides you will meet many English people, have new friends
with whom you can go out to entertain yourself in your free time. Finally the job of
an au pair will help you get some experience in the field of work. Don't forget that
you are expected to do some  light housework  and to look after children. You
should take your duty seriously and show your house family that you are reliable
and responsible. For all these reasons I tell you this experience is worth trying and
you want to regret it
