1 company summary – PAINT FROM THE HEART will be a separate legal entity registered as a
limited liability partnership. This company will focus on residential and commercial painting
services in the city of surrey and will eventually focus on the areas of Vancouver.
2 services – the company will paint both indoor and outdoor office buildings and houses.

3 market survey – the market of painting companies is highly competitive as there are many
players, some of them are well established and some are at a small scale, but they have
maintained the quality of work and are reputed and trustworthy in their localities. Entering the
market and getting customers will be difficult but my company will have two distinguishing
features that other companies will not have in their services. Competitors – Grandview painting,
warline painting ltd, and Weiler painting will be the competitors of my company but there are
many other firms in the market and it will be highly competitive.
4 marketing strategies – the company will follow an aggressive and creative style for promotion
when the company will be launched. After that, we will promote our company through the
internet and will also try to promote it on local radio stations, newspapers, and billboards. This
all be done through the company’s revenue.
5 Management summary – the company will follow a functional structure. Roles and
responsibilities will be assigned on basis of functions and responsibilities.

A what is it? What does it do? What price will you sell it for?

PAINT FROM HEART is a painting company that will paint both the interior and exterior of both
residential and commercial buildings putting more focus on commercial buildings. Price will be
set according to the material and quality of paint used during the project with a 15% profit. For
the initial years, the price will be little less than competitors because the main focus will be on
acquiring customers.
B what are your target customers?
The main target customers will be the commercial segment because the duration of the projects
will be less as compared to residential areas. Expenses and fixed costs will also be less in
commercial setup and fewer employees are required. However, we will use a mix in which 80%
will be from office setup and 20% will be from residential areas.
C what are the problems you are going to solve for them? What opportunities exist with the
potential customers?
There are many problems in this business, and we will solve all of them. The problems are as
follows-
1. Temporary employees – generally companies hire employees for specific projects, and
once the project is completed, they lay off the workers. Companies do not hold quality
employees as sometimes companies do not get contracts for weeks and they still have to
pay the employees. However, we are going to hire workers for longer periods. We will
also provide on-the-job training to the new employees so that we can maintain the
quality of our work.
2. Miserable organizing of projects – this is also one of the major problems in this sector as
the peak season for exterior painting is during the month of summer and contracts for
commercial buildings are done during the peak season. When companies get a lot of
contacts at the same time they tend to schedule them poorly as they are not able to
cater to them all. For this problem, we will set a specific time for every project and will
make one person head of it and will be hiring seasonal employees at a higher pay rate.
3. Substandard usage of material – companies sometimes use substandard paint materials
which are full of chemicals. PAINT FROM HEART will be going to use paint that is 100%
chemical free. We will use those paints which are derived naturally. There is one
technology that an Indian firm use by which paint dries within 2 days completely. We will
take technology from them as well.
4. Lack of artists – some customers want artistic designs for their properties and many
companies do not hire artists. so, customers have to hire them separately. we will also
provide artists to the consumer.

1. Formation of new contacts- when the company will be going to work for a customer, we
will form new contacts through them as they will talk about our work to others.
D What is the value proposition? How does it make you different from your competitors?
Our value proposition will be chemical-free material used for painting. The second will be that
we will have artists in our company which other companies do not have.

2 Description of company
A what it is named?
The company will be named PAINT FROM HEART. The name of the company should describe
what it does very clearly. PAINT FROM HEART clearly describes that it’s a painting company.
B Where it will be located, and everyone will be located in the same place, or will there be
multiple locations? Why?
The company will be located at a rented townhouse in surrey which will have a lobby and a
waiting area. Later on, with expansion, we will rent an office in Vancouver as well.
C What kind of skills will be required to staff the organization and why?
The company will require different skill sets at different levels.

• At the ground level, we will need five people who would be highly experienced
in painting and have been in this business for more than 20 years, and they can
be appointed as heads of the site.
• We will need one marketing manager who can give different strategies to
promote the company.
• . We will also need a project manager who can have an experience in bidding
and completion of projects.
• We will also need an inventory coordinator who can manage the inventory and
look after purchases.
• We will need highly trained employees who will be going to the sites.
D how will you get your product into the market and where and how will you sell it? Why
would you sell it this way?
We will try to do our business directly with the customers both in the offline and online set-up.
For our opening, we will distribute pamphlets in the city and will invite consumers to our office.
We will provide 10% off for our first three customers which will attract many people towards
our company. We will also launch a website through which we will take customers and will show
our old projects on the website. I would sell my product in this way because I am following a
mix of traditional and as well as modern approaches.
E what kind of marketing will you do? Will you use, the internet, TV, social media, etc. and
why are you choosing this media?
We will follow different marketing techniques to promote our company.

• For the opening – when the company will be launched, it will be promoted on local radio
and pamphlets will be distributed in the city. We will collaborate with social media

influencers to come to the opening and make videos related to our services and post
them.
• We will also paint a wall in surrey after the permission of the government and will make
a photo corner there which will ultimately result in the promotion of our company.
• Later on, we will make our own Instagram account and Facebook page and will post
photos and videos of our latest projects.
• After earning a higher revenue, we will promote our company through billboards,
newspapers, and advertisements.
The primarily focus of the company will be to cover all these expenses from the revenue.
