Highlighting Women’s Empowerment and Innovations in Education

1. In compliance with the Division Memorandum No. 105 s. 2023 or the Division
Circulo Intablado: Highlighting Women’s Empowerment and Innovations in
Education, the District will be conducting its District-Based contest on May
12, 2023, in Tarangnan National High School, Tarangnan Samar.

2. The activity aims:

a) to select the District Representatives among the teachers in the
district for the Division Contest.
b) recognize women's participation in the planning and delivery of the
services in the Schools Division Offices for the clients;
c) acknowledges the innovations made by/for the women in the
DepEd;
d) ensure integration and mainstreaming of the GAD program in the
different education services provided by the DepEd to the learners
and communities; and
e) highlight how empowered are the women of the DepEd Samar
Division.

3. The abovementioned activity will highlight the following contests:

a. Research Buffet
b. Demonstration Teaching Bazaar

4. The Research buffets shall be open to all personnel in the District of

Tarangnan. Action Research Proposals should be revolving around Gender
and Development either in Access, Quality, or Governance.

5. The Research could either be done Solo or in groups (Max. 0f 3 members) in

any gender, religion, ethnicity, ability, and disability. The Division Action
Research Format of the Division will be used in the contest. Submission of the
Research Proposal shall be submitted before May 12, 2023.

6. For the demonstration teaching bazaar, every school is required to send 2
female representatives for the contest preferably 1 master teacher and 1
teacher 3. However, in the absence of Master Teachers, the school may send
any female teachers for the Demonstration.

7. There shall be 2 categories for the competition category 1 (Teacher 1 – 3) and

Category 2 (Master Teachers). The Demonstrator will utilize the actual
competencies in that particular Quarter and must prepare a Detailed Lesson
Plan.

8. The demonstration should highlight the integration of Gender and

Development in the Classroom.

9. To rate the Demo Teaching, the observer will be using the GIYA Tool. A
separate Panel for Elementary and Secondary will be assigned by the District
Supervisor. Deliberation will follow after the contest.

10. The detailed Lesson Plan must be submitted on May 10, 2023 (Wednesday) at
the District Office for advance checking.

11. The materials and expenses are relevant to the conduct of the activity shall
be charged against the School/District local funds/ MOOE/ 2023 GAD Fund.

12. Immediate dissemination and strict compliance with this memorandum are
earnestly desired.
