Covid-19 pandemic has been occuring for 2 years creating devastating damage to the economy and

casuing many lives lost. People are now well informed about the danger of it. Unfortunately, many
people are still not aware that their daily life behavior can get them inffected. By wearing mask, social
distancing, get vacinated, and keeping their surrounding clean can reduce their risk of catching the virus.

According to World Health Organization, the virus spreads mainly between people who are close contact
with each other and wearing mask can reduce the risk significantly. Researches show that even a cloth
mask can prevent the user from inhaling droplets by trapping them in its multiple layers. And the most
effective mask like the KN95 and N95 can prevent up to almost 100%.

Getting vaccinated is also one of the most effective ways for covid-19 prevention. Vaccine contains
weakened or inactive parts of the virus. This weakened version doesn’t harm the person receiving the
vaccine but train their immune system to fight the actual one. According to statistics, Vaccinated people
are 63% less likely to get infected. The chance of infected vaccinated people infecting unvaccinated
people is also decreased. In addition, the symptoms are less severe when you are vaccinated.

Another critical way to limit the spread of covid-19 is social distancing. It has been suggested that
maintaining a distance of 2 meters. Since droplets can’t travel 2 meters into your face, this distance is
considered safe. So keeping distance is a necessary method to prevent covid-19 from contagion. As the
result isolation and quarantine are popularly used throughout the world during the pandemic. Violating
these rules may result in bad consequences. One religious group violated the quarantine requirements
became a super spreading event which triggered severe epidemic in Ho Chi Minh city causing thousands
of deaths.

The damages caused by the virus are undeniable. However you can protect yourself and your family by
strictly implementing methods: wearing mask when going outside, getting vaccinated, and keeping
social distance.
