Statement Of Purpose

Inspired by the extremely motivational words of Confucius, I actually have learned that the
key to success is the combination of perseverance and will power to gain the milestone. One
must use these combined values to support the intense desires to achieve goals they have set
in their lives.

Jodhpur, the city I was born and brought up in, was successful in strengthening the foundation
of my education and provided me the opportunity to study in ‘A’ class institutes. During my
school days, I developed skills such as team work and ability to plan and prioritize work. I
volunteered for many events such as sports day, annual day and school fair. I have also
participated in many debates and Quiz competitions.

During my undergraduate study at Mayurakshi Institute of Engineering and Technology

(Jodhpur), I participated in workshop at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jodhpur,
conducted by Aerobatics Lab on Quadcopter, which later helped me in leading my major
project, and has attended some workshops on Placement Etiquettes at IIT, Jodhpur, in pre-
final year. I had undergone my summer training at Volkswagen, Jodhpur, on Automobiles
and machines. I secured Gold medals twice in Taekwondo Suncity Cup consecutively in
2016 and 2017. I have been an integral member of ROBIN HOOD ARMY ( It is an
international youth-run, non-governmental and non-profit organization that provides food,
clothes and primary education to the underprivileged) since 2016. During those years, I
managed and volunteered several events from local to global level which somehow played a
very significant role in my sudden inclination toward the field of marketing and
management .

Over the past few years, I have worked with two different companies in the field of Sales,
Marketing and E-commerce which have developed strong interest and liking for the marketing
and management while working as an executive. Sometimes, I also took the extra charge of
operational work for the E-commerce project for one of the companies. As the time passed, I
realized that marketing and management together makes a good combination and has good
potential for people who want to be involved in the industry at both the executive and the
managerial level.
As a modern-day professional, I am of the opinion that we cannot separate Marketing and
Management, if we want the optimum benefits of marketing innovations. I am self-driven in
my pursuit to create and add value to everything that I participate in. The ability to analyze,
learn, and invent is the foundation of professional growth and success. While marketing has
been my passion, my aptitude is inclined towards Management, Entrepreneurship and Sales
which is evident from my performance trajectory. The success of a marketing campaign
highly depends on its planning and implementation, hence, management becomes a crucial
aspect of any business venture. A career that combines the use of my management skills with
knowledge of the field best suits my profile. Therefore, I am applying to the Master’s in
Business Administration to study the unique combination of subjects at your prestigious
University.
I look upon myself as a candidate who has profound knowledge in Digital marketing
operations and Sales. Along with it, I possess soft skills like perseverance, self-confidence,
leadership and team player. This makes me a well-rounded personality and thus, I am sure that
I would be able to benefit my fellow classmates to grow and excel.

For my postgraduate studies, I wanted an atmosphere of learning where I can get practical
exposure to real world scenarios, along with studying the theories in class. I found Durham
University, England, United Kingdom to be an appropriate destination where I can get such an
environment. The campus is situated in the heart of the city, which is also the centre of the
county’s economy. UK has many famous universities, which have carried the legacy of
education for years. I trust UK to gain a quality education. Students from different countries
also come to study in UK. I will immerse myself in the multicultural environment in this
country. While studying in Durham University, I am determined to achieve my goals such as
gain new skills, boost network abilities, intern with good company to gain experience and
become an expert in the field.

I am hugely proud of the way in which my academic background improved my knowledge

whilst providing me with an opportunity to study in England. I believe that pursuing a
Master’s degree in Business Administration with Industrial Practice from the Durham
University will prove the gateway for me to a world full of career and growth opportunities. I
seek to take my career graph to next level and gain relevant knowledge and skill set in the
field of marketing and as well as in management so as to face the growing challenges of this
ever expanding industry and be knowledgeable enough to get employment. With an ample
range of modules perfectly aligned with all my career aspirations through its perfectly-
structured course curriculum.

Alongside building my knowledge at Durham University, I am focused on the holistic

development of my personality and upskill myself for the tough and challenging times to come.
I am highly looking forward to networking with my fellow classmates and mentors, with whom
I can discuss my ideas and knowledge. At the same time, I am excited to gain a new
international perspective by meeting people from different cultural backgrounds and ethnicities
to gain cultural intelligence and understand their perspective of the world.

Given my devoted interest in Marketing and Management and my ambitious career aspirations,
I hope to be considered worthy enough to be a part of this prestigious institution. I highly thank
