GASTRONOMY

PROJECT: Spanish Gastronomy

GROUP WORK: 2 or 3 members

OBJECTIVE: Learn about the different gastronomic offer in Spain.

STEPS:

1- CHOOSE 1 AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITY in SPAIN

2- Plan the work.

3- Search information.

4- WRITTEN WORK: It should include:

a- A Short description of the area. Main characteristics (Geography, climate, traditions,


relevant historical facts…)

b- CUISINE: a- Main ingredients

b- Most representative dishes

c- 1 recipe (if possible, adapted with innovative /new cooking techniques)

c- Typical menu on a popular festivity.

5- ORAL PRESENTATION

Based on the information you searched for the written project, prepare an à la carte menu for
a traditional restaurant in the Autonomous Community you’ve chosen (Between 15 & 30
dishes in total) and present it to the rest of the class explaining why/how you chose those
dishes (5 minutes maximum).
