EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 011 - 2020

AN ORDER FOR RE-ORGANIZIATION OF THE BARANGAY HEALTH EMERGENCY
RESPONSE TEAM (BHERT) OF BARANGAY WEST CRAME.

WHEREAS DILG MC No. 2003 -95 enjoins the creation of BHERT in all barangays
nationwide mandating that there shall be a BHERT for every 5,000 populations in the
barangay;

WHEREAS, the Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT) is created to

conduct visits in home of every person arriving from Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome
(SARS) – affected countries;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, MARCELINO C. TRINIDAD, Punong Barangay of Barangay West

Crame, City of San Juan, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law do hereby organize
the Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT) as follows:

SECTION 1. Composition
The Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT) is hereby
organized to be constituted as follows:

SECTION 2. Functions
The Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT) shall exercise the
following functions:

1. Conduct visits in home of every person arriving from Severe Acute Respiratory
Syndrome (SARS), 2019 Novela Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) – affected countries;
2. Immediately list down the person(s) the arriving person came in contact with prior
to his arrival in his residence;
3. Take daily temperature of the arriving person and observe any other signs of SARS
like cough, difficulty in breathing or shortness of breath;
4. Provide protective gadgets to the SARS case, including the members of the
household;
5. Immediately isolate;
6. Monitor SARS, 2019-nCoV case; and
7. Report to the Punong Barangay on measures or action taken per arrival.

SECTION 3. Funding Support

Funding support for the Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT) shall
be charged against the fund of the Barangay Government subject to availability of funds and
to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
