INTRODUCTION
Good morning dear brothers and sisters in
Christ!
We are gathered in this special occasion to of-
fer God the gift of ourselves as we cherish
the joy and gratitude in our hearts. As we
continue with the next chapter of our life:
senior high school education, ter-
tiary education, employment, entrepreneur-
ship, and middle level skills development, let
us always remember all those who have
molded us to become better individuals as
well as faithful citizens of the Kingdom of
God.
During these trying times we are reminded of
the risen Lord Jesus who always walks with
us and sets our hearts aflame through the
gifts of his word and the Eucharist. The word
of God and the Eucharist, the two main parts
of every Mass, fill us with joy. As we experi-
ence the Lord alive and present with us, let
us open the hearts to his gifts and share the
Good News of salvation with others by our
lives.
With the theme “K to 12 Graduates: Molded
through a Resilient Educational Foundation”,
may we faithfully live out the Deped core val-
ues of Makadiyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan,
and Makabansa and uphold the legacy of our
Alma Mater, Babag National High School in
the pursuit of our dreams and aspirations.

THANKSGIVING PRAYER
Students: God of life, source of all good things, we
praise and thank You for the opportunity of expe-
riencing Your presence and unfailing love in eve-
rything we have gone through life. We thank You
for giving us the needed strength and guidance to
withstand all the obstacles in our high school
years.
We thank You too, for our beloved parents who
brought us up in the same care. You’ve always
wanted; to our mentors, our teachers, who im-
parted the gifts of knowledge and wisdom and
who moved us to have moral courage to do what
we ought to do; to our administrators who in-
spired us to live a life filled of hard work and love
and to our Alma Mater, Babag National High
School which nurtured and molded us to be well-

Presider: Brothers and sisters, let us acknowledge
our sins, and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the
sacred mysteries.
Parents: Lord Jesus, You have loved us first with hu-
mility, we come before You, begging pardon for all
our failures as parents, for the many times we:
• failed to listen to our children and misunderstood
the actual message behind their angry words and
looks;
• gave in to their whims rather than giving them
what is just;
• lacked firmness which led to their confusion and
less faith and trust in us;
• neglected them when they needed us the most;
• for all of these and many more, forgive us Lord.
Teachers: Lord, Jesus, as educators, we too have
our shortcomings toward these young ones You
have entrusted to us, for the many times we:
• lacked patience, understanding, and humility
• forgot to consider their human frailties, and dis-
regarded their dignity
• gave in to weariness, discouragement and par-
tiality;
• took for granted their personal needs and limita-
tions and added unnecessary pressure on their
stressed life;
• for all of these and many more, forgive us, Lord.
Students: Lord Jesus, as we enter the threshold of
our career life, we see unraveled before us our fail-
ures which magnify our limitations. As students,
many times we neglected the people around us and
became insensitive to their immediate needs. Often,
we have misunderstood the actions of our parents,
teachers and friends which were actual manifesta-
tions of their concern for our well-being. And worst
of all, we have taken the gift of education for granted
to the extent of dealing with it irresponsibly, and
complacently. For all these, forgive us, Lord.

A reading from the book of Genesis
The span of Sarah's life was one hundred and twenty
-seven years.
She died in Kiriatharba (that is, Hebron)
in the land of Canaan,
and Abraham performed the customary mourning
rites for her.
Then he left the side of his dead one and addressed
the Hittites:
"Although I am a resident alien among you,
sell me from your holdings a piece of property for a
burial ground, that I may bury my dead wife."
After the transaction, Abraham buried his wife Sa-
rah in the cave of the field of Machpelah,
facing Mamre (that is, Hebron) in the land of Ca-
naan.
Abraham had now reached a ripe old age,
and the LORD had blessed him in every way.
Abraham said to the senior servant of his household,
who had charge of all his possessions:
"Put your hand under my thigh,
and I will make you swear by the LORD,
the God of heaven and the God of earth,
that you will not procure a wife for my son
from the daughters of the Canaanites among whom I
live, but that you will go to my own land and to my
kindred to get a wife for my son Isaac."
The servant asked him:
"What if the woman is unwilling to follow me to this
land? Should I then take your son back to the land
from which you migrated?"
"Never take my son back there for any reason,"
Abraham told him.
