1. RECOVERY
The very first thing you need thats absolutely vital to get the
most out of your journey is REST and RECOVERY.

I’ve been down the beaten path of sub-optimal recovery, fatigue,


drained CNS (Central Nervous System)…

And let me tell you…

It’s the worst thing in the world...

Having to go about your life feeling like you’re only performing


half as optimally as you really can be.

And I’m not just talking about in the gym.

I’m talking about at social events, at work, and even romantic


life…

Rest and recovery impacts ALL of these areas….so without


it, you’re pretty much screwed (unless you’re okay with feeling
like a zombie).

Had I discovered what I’m about to share with you now...

My life would have been SO much easier...Filled with way more


energy and optimism.

So how do we optimize sleep, rest, and recovery NATURALLY?

2. SIZE
Theres no doubt within my mind that Whey protein is probably
the most important bodybuilding supplement out there for pack-
ing on size and strength.

Let’s face it. Without protein, your journey to physique building is


a battle fought uphill.

Protein is a necessary component to preserving and building


muscle.

Each scoop of whey contains about 30 grams of protein that’s


easily digested by your body.

It contains essential amino acids, which are the building blocks of


protein necessary for muscular development and growth.
Whey protein contains:

• Alpha-lactoglobulin
• Beta-lactoglobulin
• Bovine serum albumin (BSA)
• Immunoglobulins (IgG1, IgG2, secretory IgA and IgM)
• Smaller components: iron binding proteins (lactoferrin,
lactoferricin), calcium, potassium, sodium, phosphorous, folic

If I were to replace all my whey shakes with chicken breasts…I’d


be looking to get somewhere around 220grams of protein only
from chicken breasts. Thats nearly 25 ounces of chicken breasts,
or 1.5 lbs of meat!

No thanks!

As long as you’re getting other micronutrients in from your bal-


anced diet, then taking multiple shakes a day won’t hurt.

Make sure you wash it down with plenty of water throughout the
day, too.

Whey protein is a must.

Stick with one that your stomach won’t toss and turn with, as I
often hear that different protein brands will have different effects
on people, depending on their stomach sensitivity.

You’ll also notice that whey protein will reduce your hunger, which
will keep you satiated until its time to get your big meals in…who
likes to stay hungry?

Take at least a scoop or two after your workout, preferably 30-50


minutes before a lifting session.

And if you don’t? It’s not the end of the world, and your gains
won’t disappear. Don’t worry, your workout will not have been in
vain if you don’t fill that ‘anabolic window’, but it’s good to opti-
mize this opportunity and get your protein in post-workout.

Just make sure that you hit your very own macronutrient goals
for the day and you’ll see incredible improvements in your phy-
sique.

5. ENERGY
Caffeine has long standing been one of the greatest supplements
known to athletes that significantly improves and enhances ath-
letic performance, hands down.
How do I know this? There have been nearly 20,000 studies that
examine the various benefits and effects that caffeine has on the
human body.

Not only does this miraculous substance give you that extra edge
during your lifts, it also reduces fatigue, and increases stamina by
a significant amount.

The downside from all of this is that supplement companies are


using the power of caffeine and marketing it in such a way that
which isn’t so healthy for our bodies…they throw in unnecessary
food dies, harmful chemicals that when taken in excess will leave
you feeling down and drained.

So what are the main benefits of this wondrous supplement, and


why should you take it, especially if you’re doing M2 or the M3
training program?

Lets start with it’s metabolic effects.

Caffeine kickstarts the process of lipolysis, translates to your body


releasing free fatty acids into your bloodstream.

In essence, caffeine will give a little boost to your metabolic


system and help you burn fat while you’re grinding away in the
gym, building and sculpting your physique.

Remember, however, the primary driver of weight loss is being in


a caloric deficit. Use caffeine to get you there more easily! Caf-
feine has also been known to suppress appetite for some time.

Take caffeine with caution, however.

Taking too much can make your heart rate rise, and can often
give you the feeling of anxiety…not to mention that if you take it
too late during the day, it can prevent you from getting some
quality sleep.

One last thing to note about the downsides of caffeine is that


when taken too often, you can develop a tolerance.

This means that you’ll be needing greater and greater dosages of


it to feel its effects.

This is why I recommend you take caffeine only on lifting days!

What’s my verdict on caffeine?

ITS A MUST...and if you’re not taking it before your workouts,


then you aren’t going to optimize your lifts with intense focus and
drive.

6. POWER
Perhaps right there next to caffeine, creatine sits powerfully on
the throne of gains.

Creatine has time and time again been used and backed by ath-
letes of all and regarded as one of the most impactful supple-
ments in the natural athletic realm.
Why take creatine?

It’s got some major benefits, and so far, I haven’t heard of any
complaints from anyone taking it. Perhaps the only thing I can
think of is whether or not one’s stomach agrees with a certain
supplement brand.

I’ve seen people quickly switch brands after their stomachs throw
fits from their older brands. The results? They’ve not only maxi-
mized the benefits of creatine, but they’re stomachs have also
been pacified (note: this doesn’t happen often, but that’s really
the only downside I can think of creatine in my 10 years of taking
it!)

So, what are the upsides of creatine, anyways?

If used properly, this can be one of the most impactful and reli-
able supplements for your journey.

What do I mean by using creatine properly?

Well, you’re going to have to be doing some training in order for


creatine to be maximized and used by your body.

It won’t do you any good if you take creatine and think that its
effects will magically start taking place in your body. It’s not how
creatine works. You’ll need to be training hard, drinking plenty of
water, and making sure everything else along your journey is opti-
mized (diet and sleep especially).

Take creatine to really supercharge your journey of Physique


Building.

It’s been known to enhance recovery and repair muscle cell


damage significantly. Faster recovery = better results.

One last thing I want to say about creatine. It’s probably the cool-
est supplements out there because you see it’s immediate effects
right in front of you. In the mirror. It’s been proven that creatine
is a powerful force behind the muscle volumization effect. What
does this mean?

Creatine’s molecular property causes muscle cells to inflate, which


is what you see in the mirror- a heavier and more dense muscle
appearance while serving as a stimulus for protein synthesis.
