Financial requirements for student visas?

One of the most frequent grounds for rejecting a student visa application is that the applicant
cannot show that they have the funds or have provided the proper financial documentation. It’s
crucial that candidate comprehend which financial documents to submit with their visa application
because meeting the financial requirements for a student visa application that accounts for 10 points
of the 40 points needed.

To apply for a student visa, candidate must show that they have the funds necessary to pay for their
course for one academic year (up to 9 months). It will list the amount they must pay on Confirmation
of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).

Please keep in mind that if a candidate is a British national living abroad or from one of the following
countries or territories, they do not need to show that they have enough money to support
themselves.

Second, candidates must show that they have the resources to support themselves, unless they have
been present in the UK for at least a year at the time of their application. Where a candidate will be
studying will determine the amount of money required. For courses outside of London, they will
need either £1,023 per month for up to 9 months, or £1,334 per month for up to 9 months. It will be
their responsibility to cover boarding costs if they attend a residential independent school. Your CAS
will show the required payment amount. London refers to the 32 boroughs of London and the City of
London.

Candidates must show that they have extra funds for each family member they bring with them. This
money must be in their possession for at least 28 days in a row. The end of the 28-day window must
be 31 days or less after the day they submit their visa application.

Is it okay for a candidate to use funds from parents’ account?

If they want to use their parents’ financial records, they must submit: • Their original birth certificate
with the name of the parent or parents who are providing the funds • An original, signed letter from
their parent(s) attesting to the relationship between the candidate and them and stating that the
funds in their account are for their education. • They will also be required to provide original
financial documents from their parents (as above). It should be noted that these must be private
accounts and not business ones.
