Job Description:
• Responsible for managing the overall project activities, i.e. survey, design, procurement, installation
& commissioning besides leading the team of Engineers and Technicians integrated with Client
personnel to perform engineering services which include monitoring of control quality, contract
administration, control of progress and budgets, claims, mitigation, control of environmental impacts
and safety measures; Monitoring overall planning and management of various installation/erection
activities during execution of the project, and prepare documentation on daily basis, and other

(a). 300 MW (220 kV & 500 kV) Balakot Hydro Power Project funded by Asian Development Bank:-
Reviewed & Prepared comments on electrical conceptual design drawings for the project as well as
commented upon the electrical aspects of the technical bids to sought clarifications from the bidders
during tender evaluation stage of the project.
(b). Development of 160 small Renewable Captive Generation Schemes for Rural Electrification
funded by Asian Development Bank:
- Prepared tender specifications for various electrical components of the small captive generation
schemes ranging from few kWs to several hundred kWs. These components include Synchronous
Generators, Electronic Load Controllers (ELCs), PCC, Excitation System, Earthing, high resistance
grounding, LV/MV voltage systems, Step-Up & Distribution Transformers, Switchgear & Protection
panels, Transmission lines etc.
- Attended pre-bidding meetings to clarify/respond to the technical queries of the bidders pertaining to
the electrical specifications given in tender documents.
- Carrying out Load assessment survey & optimizing rural electrification plan for various sites.
(c). 40.8 MW (132 kV Switchyard) Koto Hydro Power Project funded through own resources:
- Performed technical review of Grid Interconnection study for compliance of National Grid code.
- Performed reviewing of design specifications for Back-up supply System including UPS & Standby DG
set for supplying power auxiliary electrical load.
- Performed load assessment of different electrical loads for Staff Residential Colony using Functional
area method (Wt/ft2) to determine capacity of colony distribution transformer for local supply of
electricity from powerhouse.
- Developed & analyzed the underground electrification scheme for staff residential colony using ETAP
software to validate the adequate size & ratings of Medium & low underground cables.
- Performed Route Survey optimization and developed design of 11 kV composite supply line for
internal supply of electricity to Staff Residential Colony and other command & control areas.

Job Description:
(a). 40.8 MW (132 kV Switchyard) Koto Hydro Power
Project:
- Review of Main Single Line Diagram to the required design and specifications of the electrical
equipment.
- Design review of Fire Fighting Protection schemes as per NFPA 851.
- Design review of electrical protection schemes for Generators, Transformers, Busbar and
Transmission lines.
- Performed design calculation for selection and sizing of Neutral Grounding Transformer for high
resistance grounding as per IEEE c 37.100.
- Reviewed and performed detailed design calculations pertaining to the adequate sizing of station
service transformers and standby diesel generators.
- Performed detailed design analysis of DC system in accordance with IEEE 485 –1997 to select the
suitable capacity of the battery system as per required load demand.
- Design review of electrical layout drawings e.g. Powerhouse, outdoor switchyard, control room &
switchgear room etc.
- Reviewed & carried out Electrical cable sizing calculations as per IEC 60364 and analyzed the results
of Short circuit calculations in accordance with the guidelines specified in IEC 60909.
- Reviewed the Substation Earthing system design according to IEEE Std 80-2000and recommended
technical solutions to the EPC Contractor regarding selection of earthing material, size of earthing
conductor & mesh etc. for improved systemreliability and personnel safety in the event of different

- Reviewed and checked design calculation of lightning protection system for 132 kV outdoor
switchyard using Rolling Sphere Method as specified in IEC 62305.
- FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) of 132 kV Power Transformers & other Equipment at
China:Performed witnessing of the Factory Acceptance Tests at Manufacturer's facility in China for
major E&M equipment including
(i).Three units of Synchronous Generators, each having capacity of 16 MVA;
(ii).Three units of Francis Turbine;
(iii).Three Units of 132 kV Power Transformers, each having capacity of 20 MVA; Powerhouse EOT
Crane & Electric Hoisting Systems with Power Control Centre Panels.

O & M Manuals and As Built Drawings of Machai powerhouse.
