o TVExcav = 25m (10m)(4)(0.2m) = 200 m3

o BW = 2zh + TW = 2(1.5)(1m) + 1.5m = 4.5 m

o TVDFill = [(1.5m + 4.5m)/2] (1m) (205m) = 615 m3

o Note: Amount of soil excavated (200m3) not

enough for dike construction (615 m3)
