    STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

    The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of Facebook usage on the academic
    performance of students in Gov. Juanito Reyes Remulla Senior High School. Specifically, the
    study aims to determine the relationship between the frequency and duration of Facebook usage
    and the academic performance of the students, as well as to identify the factors that influence
    Facebook usage among the students. By examining these issues, this research seeks to contribute
    to a better understanding of the potential effects of social media on the academic achievement of
    students, and provide insights that can inform educational policies and practices to enhance
    learning outcomes.

    It aims to answer the following:

    1. What is the frequency and duration of Facebook usage among the students of Gov.
    Juanito Reyes Remulla Senior High School?

    2. How does Facebook usage affect the academic performance of students in Gov. Juanito
    Reyes Remulla Senior High School?

    3. What factors influence the frequency and duration of Facebook usage among students in
    Gov. Juanito Reyes Remulla Senior High School?

    4. Are there differences in Facebook usage and academic performance between male and
    female students in Gov. Juanito Reyes Remulla Senior High School?

    5. What strategies can be implemented to reduce the negative impact of excessive Facebook
