Lighting Specification :
1. Chimney 0-45mtr
Low Intensity (1W), Type A : 10 Candela, Type B : 32 Candela
Colour: Aviation Red, Steady (No flashing),
2. Chimney 45-105mtr
Medium Intensity Type B(20W) 2000 Candela +/- 25%
Colour: Aviation Red, Flashing: 20-60Hz
3. Chimney 105-150mtr
Medium Intensity Type A

Colour: White, Flashing: 40-60Hz
High-intensity Aviation Obstruction Light used in Tower Crane, Wind Turbine, High Mast,
Metallurgies, Towers(Telecom, GSM, Electric), Smokestacks, Large Bridge, High-rise Buildings and
any other potentially hazardous obstructions over 150 meters to air traffic with a flashing white
safety light.
Most important points to night marking chimneys
• lights shall be put between 1,5-3 m below the top of the chimney in order to avoid a potential
disruption by gases or smoke;
• the number of lights to be installed at the top and at each level depends on the diameter of the
structure;
• lights shall be certified in accordance with ATEX/IECEx beacuse they are installed in hazardous
and harsh environments.
