Lighting Specification :
1. Chimney 0-45mtr
Low Intensity (1W), Type A : 10 Candela, Type B : 32 Candela
Colour: Aviation Red, Steady (No flashing),

2. Chimney 45-105mtr
Medium Intensity Type B(20W) 2000 Candela +/- 25%
Colour: Aviation Red, Flashing: 20-60Hz

3. Chimney 105-150mtr
Medium Intensity Type A
- (20W) 2000 Candela at Night time
- (60W) 20000 Candela at Day time
Colour: White, Flashing: 40-60Hz

4. Chimney over 150mtr


High intencity, Type A & Type B
20W (2000 candela) Night time
26W (20.000 Candela) Twilight
128W (200.000 Candela) Day time
Colour : Safety White, Flashing: 40-60Hz
Number and types of lighting levels (structure height)
H < 45m 1 level of low intensity obstruction lights shall be used

2 levels of obstruction lights shall be used: top level with


45m < H < 105m
medium intesity, intermediate with low intensity

4 levels shall be used: top with medium intesity, 1st


105m < H < 210m intermediate with low intensity, 2nd intermediate with
medium intensity, lower level with low intensity
Low Intensity Type A & B
Obstruction light used in Tower Crane, Wind Turbine, High Mast, Metallurgies, Towers(Telecom, GSM,
Electric), Smokestacks, High-rise Buildings and any other potentially hazardous obstructions within 45 meters
to air traffic with a steady burning red safety light.
Medium Type B
Medium-intensity Type B Aviation Obstruction Light used in Tower Crane, Wind Turbine, High Mast,
Metallurgic, Towers(Telecom, GSM, Electric), Smokestacks, High-rise Buildings and any other potentially
hazardous obstructions between 45m and 105m to air traffic with a flashing red safety light.
Medium Type A
Medium-intensity Type A Aviation Obstruction Light used in Tower Crane, Wind Turbine, High Mast,
Metallurgies, Towers(Telecom, GSM, Electric), Smokestacks, High-rise Buildings and any other
potentially hazardous obstructions between 105m and 150m to air traffic with a flashing white safety
light.
High Intensity, Type B (over 150meter, sequential flashing)
High-intensity Type B Aviation Obstruction Light flash Unidirectional.This product is used mainly in
large-crossing electric tower, which height is over 150m for Hierarchical sequential flashing to
display the tower height and the suspension wires on the suspension height so that it can play a
warning role in potentially hazardous obstructions to air traffic flashing white safety light.
High Intensity Type A (Over 150mtr)

High-intensity Aviation Obstruction Light used in Tower Crane, Wind Turbine, High Mast,
Metallurgies, Towers(Telecom, GSM, Electric), Smokestacks, Large Bridge, High-rise Buildings and
any other potentially hazardous obstructions over 150 meters to air traffic with a flashing white
safety light.
Most important points to night marking chimneys
• lights shall be put between 1,5-3 m below the top of the chimney in order to avoid a potential
disruption by gases or smoke;

• the number of lights to be installed at the top and at each level depends on the diameter of the
structure;

• the number of light levels depends on the height of the structure;

• lights shall be certified in accordance with ATEX/IECEx beacuse they are installed in hazardous
and harsh environments.
