Before finalization your research problem please consider the

following questions?

• Is the problem really important?

• Is the problem interesting to others?
• Is the chosen problem a real problem?
• Does the problem display originality and creativity?
• Am I really concerned with finding the solution?
• Am I able to formulate a question or hypothesis from the problem in a
testable form?
• Will I learn something new from this problem?
• Do I understand the relationship of this specific problem to the border
problem area?
• Will I be able to choose a sample from which to generalize to a larger
population?
• Will I be able to collect data from a sample population?
• Will my proposed data gathering instruments actually give the information
which I want?
• Is the study, including the application of its results, practical?
• Am I capable, by knowledge and skill, to lead this project?
• Am I capable to bear the project implementation cost or attract/raise fund?
• Do I have enough time and motivation to reach the project deadline?
