Title: SCHOOL-BASED LEARNING ACTION CELL (SLAC) SY 2021-2022

Date: January 28, 2022

Venue: Clarin National High School

A. Description:

This pandemic had made teachers to be resilient in making learning crossed despite the

circumstances. This resiliency leads all teachers to constantly upgrade one selves in order not to be

left behind. The Department of Education offers teachers different seminars to know and adapt

for the new normal situation. Anent to this, the school will conduct its localized training to tailor-

fit the need of the learners of the community and to further challenge teachers to improve not only

the quality of teaching but to learn knowledge on how to craft class program that would fit to the

present situation. The school wants to equip teachers on how to craft the budget of work that

would achieve the academic ease in learning amidst the crisis situation.

Clarin National High School will conduct its School-Based Learning Action Cell among

teachers on January 28, 2022 for SY 2021-2022. The participants of this activity are 41 Senior

High School teachers.

F. RATIONALE

The Department of Education (DepEd) sees the importance of quality teaching in ensuring

quality learning through an appropriate and responsive support system in the school. Hence, it is

of utmost importance that schools must organize a professional gender-sensitive learning

environment to help teachers enhance previous knowledge and to utilize new concepts to fit the

learners need of the modern times. In as much as successful teaching is a result of the systematic

use of appropriate strategies for delivering and assessing the learning objectives it is therefore

incumbent upon the DepEd to ensure teacher’s continuing professional development is within the

framework of School- Based Management (SBM) and embodied in the Learning Continuity Plan

(LCP) and School- Based Learning Action Cell (SLAC) must be implemented once a month.

The content of the of the SLAC session was determined by the teachers’ need of which the

topic is consistent with the broad areas of discussion within the features of the K to 12 Basic

Education Program and the crafting of the Class Program and the Budget of Work .

G. OBJECTIVES: At the end of the SLAC activity, the participants shall be able to;

1. Craft the class program suited for the pilot implementation of face-to-face classes;

2. Make a Budget of Work of the TVL specialization; and

3. Apply the activity in the face-to-face classes.
