WHAT IS THE MEANING OF
THE HOLI FESTIVAL OF
COLORS?
Holi represents the
arrival of spring and
the triumph of good
over evil. It is also said
to be the enactment of
a game the Hindu god
Lord Krishna played
with his consort Radha
and the gopis, or
milkmaids.
WHAT IS THE DATE OF
COLOUR HOLI?

Holi is celebrated on the full moon day in the month of


Phalgun. It is also called the Spring Festival, as it marks
the arrival of spring. Holi, also known as the 'festival of
colours', this year will be celebrated on March 18, 2022.

General admission passes vary in price depending on the year.
They can range from around $188 to $235. These tickets give
you access to all the outdoor stages and tents.

You can purchase VIP passes that will cost considerably more but
provide VIP amenities. Holi Festival of Colours ticket prices for VIP
seating can run several hundred dollars up to over a thousand
dollars per person. These premium passes give you access to VIP
areas. VIP festival passes typically include air-conditioned
restrooms, shaded seating, full cash bars and special food and
drink access. Festival parking passes are typically not included and
priced separately.

WHAT ARE SOME HOLI
TRADITIONS?
Celebrants light bonfires, throw colorful
powder called gulal, eat sweets, and dance to
traditional folk music. A man, covered in the
bright colors of Holi, showers the crowd with
a handful of red powder during the festivities.
