LESSON PLAN IN GRADE 10
I. OBJECTIVES
PROGRAM STANDARD The learner demonstrates communicative competence through his/ her
understanding of literature and other texts types for a deeper appreciation of
Philippine Culture and those of other countries.
GRADE LEVEL STANDARD The learner demonstrates communicative competence through his/ her
understanding of literature and other text types for a deeper appreciation of
World Literature, including Philippine Literature.
CONTENT STANDARD The learner demonstrates understanding of how world literature and other
text types serve as sources of wisdom in expressing and resolving conflicts
among individuals, groups and nature; also how to use evaluative reading,
listening and viewing strategies, special speeches for occasion, pronouns and
structures of modification.

The learner proficiently delivers an argumentative speech emphasizing how


to resolve conflicts among individuals or groups.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD

At the end of the given period, the students are expected to:

B. REVIEW > Review of the previous lesson.
The ST will ask random questions to the students about the topic they
recently discussed.
C. MOTIVATION
Task 1: “Mystery Words”

Mechanics: To play this game, have the students hear the clues until
they narrowed it down. The first student to guess the mystery word
wins.

Example:
1st clue *It’s a three letter word.
2nd clue *It’s an animal.
3rd clue *It barks

Task 2: “Define Me”

*The ST will divide the class into 4 groups.


*The ST will post random photos on the board.
*She will then let the students compose sentences to define each
item. (2-4 sentences each). The learners should work silently during
the activity. (Collaborative Learning Approach)

Task 3: “Act Out (Charades)”

The class will be divided in 2 groups. Each group shall have one
representative to guess and act out the definitions written in a piece
of bond paper. His/her teammates will guess the word. The team
which has least time consumed wins. (Cooperative Learning Strategy)
