2023 in
the New Conference Hall of BeMC, Berhampur.

A co-ordination meeting on Car Festival-2023 has been held under the

Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, BeMC, DPHO(Medical), ADUPHO,
Superintending Engineer, BED-I, Electrical, Manager (WATCO) and other dignitaries
were present in the meeting, which is in Annexure-A.

The following matters were discussed.

As per custom this year Car Festival will be held on 20.06.2023 in different places
inside Berhampur Town like Gosaninuagaon, Court Peta main road, Goilundi main
road, Utkal Ashram Road, Lanjipalli, Ankuli, LIC Colony Khodasingi, Bada Bazar,
At the outset in the house Member of committee to know the crowd management
system. ASI of Traffic stated that they have already a meeting which was held at their
level and taking all the committee members of different Ratha Yatra. There they have
discussed about crowd management/ diversion of traffic etc. Hence the SDPO, Town and
DSP, Traffic is requested to the chariots should be cordon by rope and nobody can move
to the chariot on the day of Shree Gundicha & Bahuda Yatra. Also the devotees & the
committee members are also requested to drag the chariot as per the direction of flag
man.

As regards Sanitation, Deputy Commissioner, Sanitation of BeMC is directed he is

to ensure the sanitation work at different places inside town well in advance and better
cleanness of divine place. SDPO Town is requested to share the details of places where
Car Festival is to be held and route through which Chariot of different deity will move
from own temple to Mausima Temple.

As regards enforcement, Enforcement Officer of BeMC is directed he is to ensure

the enforcement work at different places inside town.

As regards Supply of drinking Water, E.E PHD/ Manager, WATCO to ensure

supply of drinking water at Gosaninugam , Courtpeta and near Tanisq show room and
other places basing on the requirement of crowd. Also the members of WATCO has stated
that they have already planned for to keep temporary water tanker at Gosaninuagaon
and Tanisq Gold Show Room, Sana Bazar square.

Electricity supply is a major issue. This office has already instructed E.E Electrical
to ensure disconnection/connection of Electricity during movement of Chariots in view to
avoid short circuit where there is necessary taking into consideration of height of the
Chariots to the existing lines.

C.D.M.O Ganjam will be moved for deployment of health teams to Gosaninugam,

Courtpeta and at Tanisq Gold Show Room, Sana Bazar where there is anticipation of
huge crowd. In rest places Ambulances to kept ready to attend any emergency call.
DPHO, Ganjam, Berhampur has stated that the staff/ambulance/ Medicines, sufficient
of ORS and alongwith team of City Hospital is ready for the purpose.

Similarly ADUPHO of this office is also requested for deployment of staffs of Mobile
health unit and RBSK team in Courtpeta Jagannath temple and Tanisq Gold Show Room,
Sana Bazar square.
 P.W.D authorities will verify the structural stability of each Chariot before their movement
to avoid any untoward situation.

Fire officer will be moved to keep ready Fire Vehicles for deployment to the spot as and
when required to avoid any such fire related issues.

The Asst. Fire Officer, Berhampur has stated in the meeting to avoid any fire related
untoward situation. Hence all the Puja Committee /The President/ Trustee of Jagannath temple
Mandir Parichalana Committee is requested keep the Deepa Stand at a distance point of Puja
Mandap to avoid any untoward situation.

Sub-Collector & Sub-Divisional Magistrate is requested to give necessary instructions to

concern IICs to ensure movement of CCTVs existing at the places where Chariots will move, to
locate the movement as well as to watch any type of nuisance by anti socials.

Food Safety Officer, BeMC of this office is directed to watch the quality of food in the
festival.
