In your chosen degree program, how could you find the importance and relevance of
the Rizal subject? (10 points)

As a marketing student, we have direct contact with customers and clients. We

don’t jus sell them products or offer services but our major purpose is to provide them
with solutions. Providing solutions to the community is not easy, it needs research,
analysis, and experience and I believe that the Rizal subject can help us grasp these
solutions better. One of the importance of taking the Rizal subject is that it provides
insights on how to deal with our current problems. Studying history is not just about
knowing what it is but it’s about how we form our present perception which in turn
influences how formulate solutions for our existing problems, big or small. It makes us
recognize the importance of Rizals ideals and teachings in relation to
present conditions and situations in the society. Most importantly, this subject provide
us with valuable life lessons. These lessons can help us shape how we, as future
professionals in the business industry formulate our relationship with our customers.
Lessons such as How Rizal put a premium on the value of time, and to make good use
of it he exerted a constant effort to improve himself, investing much time and
persistence in his own education. The journey of a marketing student is not easy, there
will be challenges that could damage our career but life lessons of this subject from
Rizal’s triumph and trials can inspire us to continue whatever journey we are walking
into.

1. Universal Health Care - Republic Act No. 11223

AN ACT INSTITUTING UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE FOR ALL FILIPINOS,
PRESCRIBING REFORMS IN THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM, AND
APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
The importance of this law to the community is seen to be a big step forward
towards a more accessible and people-oriented health care system in our country.
According to the law, it will automatically enroll Filipino citizens into the National
Health Insurance Program and expand PhilHealth coverage to include free medical
consultations and laboratory tests. It is a law which ensures holistic health care for
every Juan and Juana by reorienting health care towards health promotion and
preventive care, from a curative care focused system.

2. Revised Corporation Code - Republic Act No. 11232

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE REVISED CORPORATION CODE OF THE
PHILIPPINES

This law becomes a significant aid to aspiring Filipino entrepreneurs as it would

improve the efficiency and accessibility of conducting business in our country.

 Businesses, big or small contributes an important impact to our Philippine economy
because this is where currency flows and exchanged. This law also benefits the local
business community since the code simplifies company incorporation process as well
as improving corporate governance standards. RA 11232 can also aid the economy in
attracting more foreign investors as the Filipino business community strives to become
more competent in both the local and global market.
