Narrative Report The Schools Division of Aurora conducted re-orientation on

Teachers, the Senior High School Focal Person, and School Heads
for face-to-face delivery of work Immersion. Students are also
trained on the subject Housekeeping NCII for them to be able to
pass the national assessment. 28 candidates for the
aforementioned qualification took the test and passed, receiving
their national certificates as proof that they are well-equipped with
skills when working in the partner industry. Additionally, students
are taught competencies related to work immersion, including
writing resumes and application letters. This will be useful for
students who are scheduled for interviews with the partner
industry. To direct and create a precise schedule plan, planning
with the Joint Working group also took place. The needed
requirements to have during, before and after work immersion was
discussed. This activity provided teachers of work immersion with
a clear strategy on how to implement the subject. In March,
partner establishment mapping, visits with qualified Partner
Industries, student endorsements and MOA signing with the
different partner industries all took place. Teachers also
coordinate with the Rural Health Care provider to provide the
learners with medical certification prior to work immersion also
individual insurance is secured by student. During the general
orientation with the parents and students, the school invited the
industry partners to speak regarding their processes in accepting
work immersion trainees. in addition, some teachers speak and
share insights on dressing appropriately and work etiquette. Mock

interviews were conducted in each class prior to the trainees'

deployment in their respective industries. The students are given
all the necessary tasks to do while on the actual work immersion
forms such as Annex C, Weekly Diary, Work Immersion
Highlights was given to them. Feedback was exchanged between
the work immersion teacher and partner industry while the
students were undergoing the proper work immersion. A
certificate of gratitude was given to the industry on the final day
of the work immersion in recognition of their significant
contribution to the program of the Department. A post-conference
activity was also held the first day after the students returned from
their actual work immersion in order to know more about their
meaningful experiences. The best part of the work immersion is
that some of our students are employed by our partner industry for
on-call jobs over the weekend and on holidays. It provides strong
evidence that the program is in good standing with regard to
employability and preparedness of the learners in joining the
workforce.
