 identify and describe the characteristics of quadratic functions.
 investigate and make generalisation about the effect of changing the values of 𝑎, 𝑏 and 𝑐
on graphs of quadratic functions.

LEARNING AND  Teacher describes the characteristics of quadratic expressions in one variable.
FACILITATION (PdPC)  Pupils are asked to identify which are the quadratic expression in one variable.
 Pupils are asked to determine the value of a, b and c based on the quadratic expression
given.
 Teacher explains and shows that the quadratic function is a many-to-one relationship.
 Pupils are asked to identify the shape of the graph, minimum or maximum point,
y-intercept and axis of symmetry equation from the quadratic functions.
 Pupils investigate and make generalisation about the effect of changing the values of 𝑎, 𝑏
and 𝑐 on graphs of quadratic functions using GeoGebra.
 Pupils do the exercises from the textbook.
