Method Statement For Roofing Works
1. SCOPE / OBJECTIVES
1. This Method Statement details general procedures to be followed for Installation of Rib
type roofing, flashing gutter, gutter, and spandrel.

3. RESPONSIBILITIES
1. BQA Project Engineer is responsible to coordinate with the GMEC authorized
representative, project acceptor and/or the end user for obtaining required
and necessary work permits – if any, prior proceeding with works.
2. BQA Project Engineer shall ensure that the resources are available to carry out
the works as scheduled.
3. BQA Project Engineer / Site Engineer is responsible to carry out the works as
per approved detailed Engineering drawings and Method Statements.
4. The Site Engineer / Supervisor is responsible to ensure that the work has been carried
out as per specifications and approved construction drawings and inspections are
done as per contract.
5. The Site Engineer is responsible to ensure that the work performed is in compliance
with the approved method statement and other project requirements / specifications.
6. The Safety Officer is responsible to ensure that all safety precautions are in place and
that the personnel on site are equipped with the required and necessary PPE.
7. The Safety Officer is responsible to ensure that the required work permits are
available prior to the commencement of the work.
4. PROCEDURE
4.1 Preparation
1. CHB laying at the top of additional roof beam for the right declivity and for the area of
water flow on the roof
2. Setting up the support of roof rafters for attaching roofs
3. Weld the 2x3 C-Purlins to the trusses and angle bar which is the stopper with distances
of 60 cm center to center
4. Install the 2x4 C-Purlins which will be attach to the welded 2x3 C-Purlins. 2x4 C-
Purlins will be the base for the fascia cover.
5. All testing shall be done as required in the project specification and contract
documents by the approved accredited testing laboratory.

4. After the installation of all the roofing, install the flashing gutter by drilling then revit.
4.3 Installation of Spandrel
1. Ensure the roof is clear of leaks and damage before installing the spandrel and
ceiling system.
2. Before enclosing it, double-check for any mistakes the roofer makes.
3. Install A Supporting Frame.
4. End moldings and fascia cover are commonly used to construct the frame.
5. Fascia cover are screwed with a facia board to create a finished look.
6. Insert the spandrel between the two end moldings once the frame is finished.
7. Lap them one after the other, piece by piece.
8. It will be necessary to cut spandrels near a center molding to fit and cover the space.
