Recommended practices for a project manager

Project manager should be able to enough to select a strategy for a procurement. For example

he should be able to build a relationship between project and the environment around it. He

should have the skill of understanding the need to buying/making/renting or leasing a good. He

should have the power and skill to develop the solicitation package that also involves finding the

best seller for the project. He should have the skill of requesting seller response by either

advertising or buying small stuff from their sellers in start. In terms of selecting the seller, the

project manager should have the practice of choosing the best seller based on his expertise, rate,

and quality of work. Project manager should mention the selection criteria on prior basis so that

the seller would know that what is the financial and production capacity along with the business

size he is going to work with.
